Re: Quick walk around of the ducati.

Another walk around a 750 ducati except hand made race exhaust. my sport started out as a road bike rebuild, half way through it switched to track bike which became a race bike. Currently it's in the 2nd iteration rebuild, being turned from a race bike that looks like road bike on the track (which i...

G my static bearing seems to be fixed on a solid 8mm bolt and the height is 24mm and the od is 24mm? bought the bearins today as per your part numbers. so i would need to fit 2 of the static bearings (ie like the mobile tensioner bearings) to make up the height (width of th...

Brake Caliper cleaner

Hi some of you might know this tip, i read it on the TT1, F1 website for cleaning gold Brembo calipers. I did the brake mod and bought a set of 2nd hand gold brembo calipers a while ago. they were ingrained with years of brake dust and i tired a huge number of solvents & cleaners and really did ...

Re: Flat Slide Keihin's

I wonder if the milliseconds you might gain with no filters are worth getting dirt in the cylinders. There are filter sock you just pull over the velocity stacks. G. Its more than a few milliseconds mate, believe me, and any sock or sponge type filter just gets sucked in and out the exhaust. You wo...

Re: Flat Slide Keihin's

Hi I fitted a set of these approx 6 months ago to my sport (look a bit further down the list of topics) and they have transformed the bike. You are "very" lucky to pick up a bike with these fitted. I went through the "can't get the weber to run phase" to fitting 38mm Mikunis off ...

Re: What Oil?

G - hence why i stopped listening to the guy........... I had to show him the holes in my clutch cover to prove it's a dry clutch!!! Higgy why 0W and why not specifically 5W? Just means at winter tempertures 0 is slighty thinner than 5. I was more concerned about the 40 but having done a fair bit of...

Re: Rear shock info

thanks for the info DITB, so best bet would be go looking for a +'02 900 rear shock. the few i have seen are Showa as appoased to the Sachs i have? My shock expert did say you can fit an Ohlins body to my Sachs shock to give it the extra length as well = $120.00 on top of the valve + piston upgrade.
