I bought mine here. It was identical as to the one that came out.

Re: need help troubleshooting my 907ie
If you see something is not right don't just fix that, but everything associated with it. I learned that on mine, and am now trouble free for the time being. I'll bet the strainer at the base of the fuel pump is either full of crap or coming apart as mine was, if your bike came with old gas in it. h...

Re: need help troubleshooting my 907ie
Jay, Don't give up yet. The bike I purchased was probably in worse shape than yours mechanically. I had to replace most of the fuel system, and have the injectors rebuilt. Then had charging problems and replaced the regulator and had the stator rewound. Next were starter problems with the sprag. I r...

Re: need help troubleshooting my 907ie
Wow, this is like a bad dream. I had the exact same thing happen to me last month. The exhaust valve tightened up on the vert. cylinder. I presume there was carbon under it that must have come out, not sure, but any way the engine died. When I tried to restart, it backfired through the air box, and ...

Re: original front brake lever still available ??
I just purchased a new one with a new front master cylinder from Yoyodyne. Entire assy. was about $100 with freight. Lever was identical to the one that came on the bike. They have a catalog on the web, and am sure you can buy just a lever.

Flywheel
Has anyone run ther 907 without a flywheel? I read an article from Nichols stating that the flywheel is not necesary, and can be eliminated in lieu of buying a light flywheel. i've got mine apart now, and have thought about trying this.

Re: Mis firing
This sprag basically detonated. It tore up the cage that holds the cylinders in. It sored the inside of the piece that it fits in, but I cleaned it up with a hone. I had already done the seal spring trick on it, but when I went to start it yesterday after it had been warmed up, it backfired while tr...

Re: Mis firing
I called Ducati Austin today, and they can have the sprag in 5 days, $160.00. I checked the valves and found the vertical exhaust way to tight. I sanded down the opener shim to get .004" on the opener. Depressing the closer, I had a total of .008". I think that would give me .004 on the cl...

Mis firing
I think my luck has come to an end. Bike was starting fine cold, but after a warm up, it mis fires and backfires through the air box.I did a compression test and it has 95 to 100 psig in both cylinders. To top this off, when it backfired, I guess the sprague for the starter came apart. It will not e...

Re: Fuel pressure regulator
I did cut the regulator in half and found it to be full of sediment and varnish. I think this bike must have sat for quite sometime before I purchased it. The filter that was in it had partially disolved internally and I think this was the beginning of the problems. I have a NAPA filter in it now, b...

Re: oil cooler
I for one can't see the benefit of an oil cooler with a liquid cooled engine, especially if your running synthetic oil, but I'm not the pro either.

Re: slight oil from clutch cover
I appreciate all the help and information. I pulled the clutch cover and found no oil on the clutch, however there was some duct. I did find the hose connected to the breather was loose, and it looks like the oil being dismissed from the breather had found its way around the back of the clutch housi...
