Carb rebuild + throttle linkage
I'm in the process of cleaning/rebuilding the Weber. Never done it before. 1. Can I pop the throttle linkage ball like in this video or am I going to damage it? Or should I remove the throttle cable from the throttle body another way? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fIWD24pTskU 2. Are there any othe...

Re: fuel hose clamps
Stein-Dinse replaced the 8x13 with the correct 7x12mm hose - so all good.

Re: fuel hose clamps
One more thing - the Y connectors from Dinse are quite different from the originals.
The originals were Malossi. They're not available in 7mm anymore, only 6mm (inner D 3mm) and 8mm (inner D 5mm)
What do you think it's better 6mm or 8mm? I'm using 7mm hose.

fuel hose clamps
Hey all, I'm finally changing the fuel hoses on my Paso - got 7mm ID / 12mm OD hose. I want to get new 'cobra' clamps also. Dinse only has the 11.5 size which according to page 3 of the chart below clamp 12-13mm hose. Do you think that's good enough? I could get size 11 elsewhere, which is good for ...

Re: Brake disk rubbing
Get a hold of this - that idiot left all of the sprocket bolts totally loose - not even finger tight. Total lunatic. And to think, I took it to a Harley place because I was scared of the scooter place. Anyway, I took the wheel off and remounted it - that resonating noise is gone. Thanks for the help.

Re: Brake disk rubbing
The next thing to check is that the eccentric adjusters are both correctly positioned on the axle. They are splined onto the axle and there is one spline missing so they only fit one way , but with a little misguided persistence they can be made to fit wrong and the result is an axle that is skewif...

Re: Brake disk rubbing
Years ago I was in a tyre shop looking a "professional" working on a 906 rear tyre. The way they worked around that bike was so bad I vowed to never let a "professional" tyre fitter touch my bike; the sad part is that it was a very well regarded shop and later on I discovered th...

Re: Brake disk rubbing
Ok , make sure the caliper bolts are not going so far thru the bracket , that the end is rubbing on the disc ,if so a washer under the head of the bolt. Get your head down at axle level behind the wheel and eyeball the disc ,it should be in the centre of the caliper, not off to one side. Some assem...

Re: Brake disk rubbing
Just undid the caliper bolts - they were super tight.
Hand tightened there's no weird rubbing. Moderately tightened there's just a hint of the noise.
