Re: changing rear caliper

G, I was agreeing with you. The caliper is where you say it is. INDSIDE that radius... I'm converting to an 180/60 zr16 Bridgestone tyre. I don't want to change anything of the driveline, but need some space to clear the tyre from the chain. I'm going to do this by offsetting the rearwheel with 5mm...

changing rear caliper

Gents, I'm getting ready to convert to 180/60 zr16 tyres, but it seems the bracket of the rear caliper is going to be a problem. In the past I've seen paso's with the caliper on the other side of the swingarm (downside). Only question is how to mount the bracket to the swingarm/frame. This to keep t...

Re: Problem noise - gearbox? clutch?

Is it possible to have a broken gear selector spring and for it to "rattle" on hitting a pot hole? It's similar to the noise from the box when you change gear - on decelerating it's a "metallic shudder" It's not anything loose on the bodywork or centrestand or exhaust etc - its ...

Re: Potential PASO purchase

The late paso's have an improved engine, for example gearbox. Dunno exactly from which enginenumber, but it should be from approx number 4000 and up. Also these types were fitted with black passengerhandle, black yokes and gold valvecaps. If you're bike is one of this type it's surely worth its mone...

Re: start motor

a nasty click, click under the saddle Sounds more like bad starter solenoid or battery. Start motors usually only suffer from worn brushes or bad/corroded connections. Don't forget a faulty spragclutch..! Mine was gone and this is noticed when the starter turns free with, in my case, a loud click a...

Re: best solution for the michelin problem

I expect the chain will still rub the side of the tyre. I tried an oversize tyre and altough calculation showed that the chain would clear the edge of the tyre in practice it didn't. I got fed up with this and had sliding adjusters replace the standard eccentric by Spondon. This meant that I can fi...

best solution for the michelin problem

Gents, about the tires again. I think I've got the perfect solution. First of all I really want to keep the paso on 16" rims, cause in my perception it's important for the looks of the paso. Furthermore I'd like to keep the rear swing too, cause of it's quality and the excenters. As I've notice...

Gents, does anyone know if a swingarm of an early monster will fit a 750 paso..? Can't find any good pictures either. :banghead:
