No I haven't made the wiring update.
The Solenoid is getting 12v + and cold starts are now instantaneous therefore I'll leave it as is for the moment.
Cheers

Cold Start 750
I thought I'd share a recent experience I had with the 88' 750 Sport. Upon cold starts, it would always take four to six cycles to get it going on full choke (to me this wasn't right). It's a stock standard bike running a weber DCNF. I've owned it for three months and slowly I'm working through the ...

Re: 750 Sport restoration project
Hi Andrew, I've been sitting on the side lines enjoying your restoration. Thanks for sharing the journey with us as I truly appreciate the preservation of these beautiful late 80's era Ducati's. I didn't have much feedback as I'm still learning about these machines myself. I also sit in the garage s...

Re: New Member 1988 750 Sport - squeaky clutch at idle
Hi Andrew, There's no difference in terms of the clutch action resistance but it does have a smoother release when re engaging the clutch upon take off. I think it's important to clean the bore thoroughly before re assembly including a light emery paper allowing the o-ring to move freely. The bore s...

Re: New Member 1988 750 Sport - squeaky clutch at idle
Just thought I'd provide a quick update on the clutch for those who might be tinkering. The clutch still makes a little bit of noise which is normal from what I've been told. The solution: I pulled apart the slave cylinder and found the seal was corroded and started leaking…….how it didn't leak to b...

750 Sport Exhaust Choice
Hi Guy's, I recently purchased a stock 88 Sport with intentions of keeping her for a long time. Initially I wanted to keep the Silentium's on but the thought of never hearing it sing isn't going to happen. I'm going to tune up the weber(as per higgy's thread) and I've decided on some black reverse m...

Re: Front Sprocket Configuration
Thanks for the info.
It looks like the bolt & washer might be missing……...I'll take another look at it.

Front Sprocket Configuration
Hi All, I reviewed a number of posts regarding the front sprocket and the 750's appear to have varied offsets and retainer plate set ups. Could anyone please provide a brief explanation of how my configuration actually works before I do the "deep dive" and make an expensive mistake. i'm lo...

Hi Peter, Thats good to hear and Bruce was a pleasure to deal with too. I've already downloaded the manual and been through quite a few posts…..great site! This is my first belt drive so I'm getting up to speed and looking forward to knowing the bike better. I inspected under the seat this morning a...

New Member 1988 750 Sport - squeaky clutch at idle
Hello, After many years of lusting for a 750 Sport, I finally purchased one a few days ago. I'd like to spend some time going through it all and getting everything just right. It's been delivered with new belts, motor oil and Michiko tyres. I've already replaced the fuel lines and looking to flush t...
