exhaust header black chrome pipes

Ill be looking to replace the rusted exhaust next. Are the header pipes with the cross piece on the 907 same as on other models? I see one for sale for a 750 paso, would that have the same diameter? In the early nineties I used to see paso's with black-chromed megaphone's, with a counter taper at th...

Re: Fuel tank leak

Hey, thats good news. Good feeling when you fear the worst and it turns out to be something simple. Had that with the "coolant in oil scare" Now I am hoping that the front of my tank is not leaking.........

Re: shape of the tank

OK, so its a case of "they all have that sir". I will take that as good news, the one I looked at is as good as the rest (almost perfect) :)

shape of the tank

Looked at a 907 at trader this weekend, the bike was in good condition but I noticed something with the shape of the tank. Standing behind the bike, looking over the tank towards the top tripple-clamp, I noticed that the tank is slightly lower on the left. And a bit deeper at the front seam where th...

Re: Fuel tank leak

Is it possible that the leak is not from the outlet but from between the hose and the outlet?

Re: tank breather

Yes, thats indeed an option I had not thought about, I was thinking of a fix from the outside.
I have heard mixed report about these sealers. Is there experience on the forom with this kind of fix?

Re: tank breather

Hi Bas,
I am in Middelburg, you?
The leak is small, doesnt leak while driving I think. I see evidence of a fix with some kit. I will have to look at it again to see what I can do with devcon or something. Any suggestions?

tank breather

Had the tank off and it was laid down leaning forward. Found fuel leaking out through the central round support.
Is there a breather there in the central front support or is my tank leaking?

Re: coolant in oil?

Hi All,
After replacing the in tank hoses the bike runs OK. Idles OK, throttle response and running under load is good. Only issue is and part throttle (around town) it runs a bit rough. Misfires and rumbles in the pipes.
Not sure where to start, plugs? coils? any good idea's?

Re: coolant in oil?

Drained the oil, cleaned strainer and replaced the filter. The oil was in a bad state, but no free water. So i am hoping that the emulsion was just from condensation. Plan to run the engine until hot and then replace oil and filter again. I wil also modify the breather,to include a free water separa...

coolant in oil?

Hi, I am new to the forum. I bought a 1990 907ie this weekend. Been riding Ducati's since '88, but this is my first "paso". I love the styling and it probably has the best seating position (for me) of all Ducati's. (bit of back trouble) Anyway, I was happy with the bike, but I could not do...
