bit of a disaster..

Yesterday, I came back from a long ride round Leics., Rutland, Lincs, fab trip. Parked up in my yard and had a look round the bike (907ie), and was horrified to see that 2 of the rear sprocket nuts had come undone and proceeded to eat their way through the swing arm and the axle-adjuster end plate. ...

Cry for help

Just down the road I have a, not particularly bright, friend who also owns a 907. We were discussing poor electrical connections and how to improve them, and he decided to start with the 2 big yellow cables from the alternator to the regulator. He found that, as per several threads on the forum have...

Re: Like a Phoenix from the ashes..

I will take a photo of the pipes Turin.

Hi Gert, yes I did as the Baines told me, cutting out a large part of the air-box lid.

It makes for much aural pleasure, as do the pipes!

Re: Like a Phoenix from the ashes..

Apart from the extra BHP, the telling difference is the huge fat increase in torque between 3250ish and 5000. Just the sort of area yr working in on the road. Yum yum!

Re: Like a Phoenix from the ashes..

Have had a great summer here in the UK, and some brilliant rides on the 907! When I first posted here, I intended to roll back the years to when I first bought the bike, and dig out some of my stuff from my file..... The best bit was following the first service after purchase, from the first owner. ...

Re: Rear spring/shock replacement

Thanks Ronald, I will definitely re-build my orginal shock. Great tip for flex additive to the paint. I had no idea such a thing existed. Will keep you posted.
Cheers Tom.

Re: Rear spring/shock replacement

Thanks for the replies. I am one of those who prefers to keep stuff original if poss, so thanks for the encouragement I will get it looked at and keep the old shock. I am loving reliving the fun I had on my old Duke, I get the feeling these bikes have there own special place in the Ducati family. My...
