Re: Replacing fuel pump undertank electrical harness.
I built a new harness with these parts from eBay. WhatsApp Image 2020-09-29 at 4.09.37 PM.jpeg 16 AWG GXL high temperature automotive wire in colors to match what is shown in the wiring diagram rather than what I found. So, Violet for +12V, Black for ground, Blue for fuel level sensor, Yellow for re...

Re: Replacing fuel pump undertank electrical harness.
The major issue for me is not the connector, but I will replace it with something like you suggest. The problem the wires from the connector up to the tank. They are right on top of the engine with nothing but a common harness sheath to protect it. Everything is brittle. So, I suppose there is nothi...

Replacing fuel pump undertank electrical harness.
My fuel pump began to not activate at times and after a lot of diagnostics verifying that the relays, pump itself and other wiring are OK, I found that the harness piece that goes to the tank has turned to stone from engine heat over the years. Are there any recommended wiring parts that work best o...

Re: Rear grab bar question
How did that part work out?
Re: Well nuts
Thank you for the link to Amazon! When I bought the 907 back in 2001 the PO gave me a tip on retapping something more commonly available but at $17 you can't go wrong. Much appreciated! You might hold off until I receive these and examine them, although I'm pretty sure they will be fine as the sour...
Well nuts
I searched for information on the fairing well nuts. Yes, Ducati still sells them, but they are commonly available for about 1/5th their price. I just wasn't sure of the size. The best information I could locate here was this cryptic information from the Paso 750 forum, parts interchange post: http:...

Re: Left side engine cover removal steps and tips.
A few more things crossed my mind, so I did some more edits today...one about possibly clamping some of the radiator hoses and another about 3 bond clean up and a few more minor clarifications. I've worked on my motorcycles for more than 50 years, but this job intimidated me a bit. The manuals are v...

Re: Rear grab bar question
They have different part numbers, but I have seen eBay ads that claim it fits 750, 906 and 907. There are two current ads, one for 907 and one claiming fits all, that look identical and have identical bolt holes. https://www.ebay.com/i/333305105078 https://www.ebay.com/itm/Ducati-Paso-Tail-Grab-Rail...

Re: Left side engine cover removal steps and tips.
A few more edits today. I could edit out some of the alternative ways of doing this or that and simplify it to what seems to work best, but I think I'm done with this. Went out for a few hundred miles yesterday. All is good now.

Re: Left side engine cover removal steps and tips.
I made a few edits to the original. This included leaning the bike slightly right by placing a small block under the left main stand, tie wrapping hoses out of the way, completely removing the cover to a workbench instead of hanging it out of the way, and correcting a comment about the rear arm of t...

Left side engine cover removal steps and tips.
I decided to replace the starter on my 907ie. I searched here and elsewhere and found no comprehensive description of the left engine cover removal process for this model or any with the same motor. Maybe this is so obvious it doesn't need a detailed guide, but I felt the need. I got several tips he...

Re: 907ie wiring modification confusion
Oh, the coils. I saw that the "Paso 750 Project" included a relay for them as well. I believe the 907ie ignition relay covers that. I'll check.

Re: 907ie wiring modification confusion
Yes, now I see it is a bit odd that the Paso 750 document shows 30 swapped with 87, but I get that it makes no practical difference. And Nick, thanks for the idea of using one of the unused spots on the exiting fuse box. And one other questions... What would be "the proper sized wire" for ...

Re: 907ie wiring modification confusion
Oh, so it will work either way. My electrically challenged mind finally sees that. In retrospect, it seems obvious. Sorry to be polluting the forum with my confusion. You spelled things out so even I could understand it. Thanks.
