Re: black is white

For me, ALL CARBURATED Monsters are "old ones"... And remembering, that 2000 they changed to injection (at least in M900).... Finn, Ok, let me see if I got this straight: When you advised Duc750 last June 2nd, 2006, in the "Chain Allignment" thread that, "Those 900SS...

black is white

When i wrote that "OLD mail, what U mention", I hadnt seens 2001 Monster front sprocket at all !!!!!!!! I talked that time "old Monsters Finn, you crack me up! I'm not trying to fight with you. I merely pointed out that your post of last June was the exact opposite advice you gave mj...

contradictory advise

Antti owns both the 907 and the 750, so he does know what he tells... Ciao Franco, Antti may "know what he tells," but one thing is certain: His advice to mjfrank yesterday, ("I think, U can use that sprocket safely"), is the exact opposite of what he posted last summer, ("...

front srocket for 907

mjfrank, like ducapaso, I also remembered something being posted on this issue. i went back and searched. i found the following post from finnpaso: "That was ONLY early 750 Paso problem, NOT 907ie!!! Those 900SS/Monster front sprockets DONT FIT TO 907IE, what needs EXACT 907IE front sprocket !!...

loud clutches save lives

sean, there's the old story about the ducati novice who buys a brand new ducati and, hearing all the clutch noise, brings the bike back to have the "defective" clutch serviced, much to the amusement of everybody in the service department. With dry clutches the clutch plates rattle in the c...

stepping up to the plate

right after jerez, capirosi flew home for the immenent birth of his first child rather than remaining, (like stoner did), to get in some practice/testing laps. you know what they say about a new baby taking a half second of your game....doesn't bode well for capirosi. looks like stoner is gonna be d...

No use for Pedrosa

ducman, You're not alone in your disdain for Pedrosa. Since Hayden is so popular here in the USA, lots of americans were angry at Pedrosa for taking Hayden out in a crash that could have cost Hayden the title. But in the end it didn't and Pedrosa apologized. I agree. it was a bad pass. but do you fe...

franco,

to be fair, one could say the same about loris last year. but for gibernau taking him out at the start of Catalunya, Capirosi might very well have gone on to win the whole enchilada!

motogp, 2nd round

2 podiums for Pedosa...this could very well be his year! Hayden looks about as impressive as Capirosi. Hayden should have stayed w/ 69. changing to number 1, ...bad move. even Rossi, the largest ego in motogp, stayed w/ number 46 through all his world titles. And it doesn't look like Hopper is ever ...

shop freedom

Interesting. And what did all that "shop freedom" get Rossi on saturday? He looked like he was dragging an anchor down the straights. I'm sure you're right - I can't imagine Ducati Corse would give anybody, even Rossi, full control. On the other hand, when the Ducati and, (to a lesser degr...

Rossi, Ducati, and money

jon, yeah, i heard it was a money thing also. but really, it doesn't add up. doesn't the bulk of his income come from endorsements and not from yamaha or honda or ducati? i read that last year Rossi was one of the highest paid atheletes in the world, earning somewhere around 30 million euros, 25 of ...

Rossi on the Ducati

I've always wondered about that, why doesn''t Rossi ride for Ducati? on the other hand, if you put the best rider on the fastest bike, motogp wouldn't be very interesting. Rossi would win every race! i suspect the people who organize motogp would prefer Rossi doesn't ride for ducati in order to keep...

Moto GP

Congrats to Stoner for his win at Qatar! Round 1 to Ducati. nice to see Ducati pick up in '07 where they left off in '06!! once again, the Ducati was the fastest bike in the pack. that was obvious down the straights. Capirosi crashed but is not hurt and will hopefully make a better showing next roun...

moto elitism

finnpaso, i'm a lover of all bikes, if it's got 2 wheels it rocks my world. 125cc scooters, big harleys, i don't care, i love 'em all. true, i have a special spot in my heart for ducatis, but i find the whole sport vs. cruiser thing divisive and ultimately harmfull to the sport of motorcycling. i do...
