Re: Need help with left cover removal
Nick, that is very helpful. I have a cover puller. I'm ready to go at it now.

Need help with left cover removal
I'm replacing my starter motor. I've read all I can find on this, but I'm still not clear on left cover removal. I understand coolant and oil needs to be drained. Done that. I've removed the 4 Allen bolts (and the smaller drain Allen) from the water pump cover to remove it first, but it won't budge....

Alternator cover removal tool alternative
I'm replacing my starter. I don't have the Ducati alternator cover puller. I discovered that the Norton Commando tool P170, engine gear puller, is exactly the right dimensions. Now, this tool isn't much cheaper or more available than the Ducati tool, but if you ever had a Norton like I did, it works!

Re: Oil Pressure Sender Location
Ah, thanks for the explanation of the 2 oil flow holes. I'm on to replacing the starter later today. If I have the bike on the main stand, will oil flow out when I remove the left side cover? I've seen people tilt the bike to the right using a winch but I'm not too crazy about doing that. I might ju...

Re: Oil Pressure Sender Location
Well, I answered my remaining questions more or less. I removed both and no oil came out. I'm guessing the lower bolt is some sort of oil overfill outlet, although it appears to be a fair amount above the top of the oil level. I removed both of these because I wanted to get into the starter and exam...

Oil Pressure Sender Location
Compared to the parts catalogue, my oil pressure sender and another bolt swapped. See attached image. In my 907, the oil pressure sender is above the other bolt. Should I swap them back to the parts catalogue locations? I would think so, but I've seen catalogues be wrong before. What is the other bo...

Re: Mystery electrical plug
Yep, I just found reference to it in the workshop manual as you were posting. That is not a feature in the US. I can see through the lens a place where that bulb would have been. It is blocked off. Another mystery solved. Thanks!

Mystery electrical plug
Behind the headlight I found a 2 pin white plug with 3 yellow/red wires and a black wire. The plug is hanging free. I think I found it in the wiring diagram. As the diagram shows, the black wire is ground and one yellow/red wire goes to the ignition switch, the second to the tail light, and a third ...

Re: Radiator coolant container
I searched "CBR600 radiator cap conversion" and I don't get the original post on how to do this. Even a wide Google search for Ducati 907ie CBR600 radiator cap conversion doesn't reveal it. Anyone have the info? EDIT: To answer my own question, the information can be found in the FAQ as co...
