Re: Ducati oil filter part no.
blakduc1, I have been using K&N-153 for years. Since my engine rebuild I've been using it. As with most K&Ns it has the wrench lug on it which makes it easy to put on and remove and K&N quality is proven. You can even get the 153 at Advance Auto or order pickup at Walmart. du907 https:/...

Re: Ducati oil filter part no.
Ducati have changed the part no. for the oil filter several times over the years although the the filter itself has remained physically much the same. The current part no. is 44440035A which is what you'll get if you order one from a dealer. They will all fit and work fine. I use a Mahle OC5 on all ...

Re: need help identifying some parts from the torque spec. t
If someone with a 906 or 907IE reads this post, I have the same question regarding: - water pipe delivery pipe fitting 22x1,5 - pater pipe suction fitting 30x1,5 G. I've already discussed this with Gerhard. This is my thoughts, although the pipe in the water pump cover isn't usually removed as it c...

Re: idle adjustment cable replacement parts?
Items 1 and 2 are the air bleed screws. They are for setting the CO and throttle body balance at idle. They will affect the idle speed but that's not their intended purpose.
I suggest you read this article on how to set up the throttle bodies : http://www.bikeboy.org/ducati2vthrottleb.html

Re: idle adjustment cable replacement parts?
I presume that you are trying to adjust the fast idle cable? It sounds like the steel ferrule on the end of the cable has rusted and seized into the adjuster. Use a releasing fluid then grip the end of the cable with a pair of pliers as near to the adjuster as possible and use another pair of pliers...

Re: Oil level in 907 M1R forks ?
No need Gerhard. I've found the same info on an Australian website : https://transmoto.com.au/comparative-oil-weights-table/ I should have used Öhlins 1309-31 but found it very difficult to find so I used Silkolene PRO RSF 5wt thinking it was a similar weight. It turns out that the Öhlins has a visc...

Re: Oil level in 907 M1R forks ?
my 906, 907ie and M1R all state 180mm When I did my forks is what I put with a SAW 10W oil and I am quite happy with it. Be wary of different brands of fork oil. It isn't always what is says on the packet. I found this out the hard way when I fitted an Andreani fully adjustable conversion to my Scr...

Fantastic write up. Thanks for that Gerhard. The last motorcycle master cylinder that I rebuilt was for a bevel 900SS. It was some time ago but the procedure as I remember was more or less the same.

Thanks for all that effort Gerhard. I always have great difficulty finding old post on this forum so I should really take a note of all those measurements in case I ever need them.
