Re: Mikuni jets
Be careful, Dyna jet numbering (124,128 for stage 1) is NOT the same as Mikuni.
A 140 Mikuni I believe is 1.4 thou of an inch - Dyna jet use their own measuring system.
Don't forget that the needles with the Dynajet kit are a totally different profile designed to work with dyna jet mains.
I used 124 but with open exhaust pipe and pod filters is wasn't enough. The 128 works well. No flat spot.
Needle clip 3 positions down and idle jet 37.5 (I mucked around for ages with 40.0,42.5 - but they are way too rich)
Float level 14mm
AND SYCH THE CARBS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Mikuni jets
Very usefull info!!! So, it seems, that normal Mikuni jet sizes are totally different, than Dynojet kit jets! Just that can explane that big diffrence between "sizes"...
Those original needes were also totally different looking(much thicker), than Dynojet needles(what i put inside with new lighter Dynojet springs). So, seems, that i have to open them again and put those Dynojet jets. I must propably look jets closer by eyes to see, is there big difference.... THANKS!
Sync is very easy job to me

Re: Mikuni jets
Hi,
You can tell from the chart that the rate flow/diameter ratio is liniar. so you can calculate the required size.
So, DJ 128 should be Mik. # 136.5.
