I have already black coloured more rare 907IE(91') Brembos(with steel braided lines) for swapping them same time, as i do that 17" conversion to my 750 Paso with original 750 M1R fork. Now running with same brake system, but another adopters to fit original 16" Oscam wheel with original rotors. With 17" conversion i put also 320mm rotors(from 92 modell 907IE).... Still need adopter measurements. It can be, that nowbody have done same adopters, as i need next...

I think that should be easy. Take the 65mm adapter as basis
Image
and just shorten the hole distance along the red line to 40mm. (the left/upper mounting hole of the brake caliper should stay were it is)

Thanks, G-man! It can be, that i have to do just so, but i have to do some measurements first from my ST calipers. Propably that "red line" is in same place in both calipers, black ones and new ones. But wondering, cause those black ones are designed for 300mm(91*907IE) rotors and those "golden" ones are for 320mm rotors :?:

Anyway i still wait, if someone have made such adopters, cause i am not in any hurry to make 17" conversion, i have still "not used 16" Michelins" in my 750 Paso....

Thanks, Gerhard

Antti,
the 907's black 4 pistons calipers and the golden ones are interchangeable.
So, you can fit the most moden Brembo goldline on your '91 907 without any modification. The same thing is for the fitting of those calipers on your 750.
I also fitted those goldline calipers on my 907 replacing the black ones.
If you have or made the spacers for those 40 mm. calipers, you'll be able to fit the black ones or the goldline ones.
The only difference is that the goldline ones need a 16 master cylinder at least.
So, don't worry.

hi antti,

i've got those adapters.

they are to fit to m1r forks (750 paso) and brembo 17" wheels with goldline 40 mm brakes.

i am busy right now to change the m1r with a paioli from a laverda.
i hope i've got the time for it this weekend, but i can give you the measurements for it

 greets, ab.

Thank You, Zap very much already!

Frankie: i am wondering, that is there any diffrence to make adopters to 300mm rotors(like in 91 907), or 320mm rotors(like in 92 907 and Supersports, etc.) cause i start to use normal 17" Ducati front wheel(from 91 907) in my 750 Paso with 320mm rotors.... I know very well, that those black ones have same 40mm holes , as older golden line Brembos..... and later have that 65mm distance.

I try to find out, that 320mm rotors dont hit to calipers after making adopters !!!!...and they make pressure just to right part of brake disk.. THAT is "the point"..... I think all have same offset, so that shall not be any problem.... :smoke:

this interests me, from what Laverda is the fork ? I had thought about the same, mine is from a 750S but as it`s legs are bigger it`s not an easy fit. (tank needs to be modified a little bit etc.)

Antti, make a wooden adapter or one from acrylic material. That`s done in 15min and you can try if the position is ok.

From wich model the forks are, i do not know but the triple tree is from a formula 750.

I already have made much adaptions like shortening the steering stem by 2.5 cm and recenter the wheel with bushes and dye more threat on the paso axle etc.

Antti i will pm you.

Zap,

pls keep me updated on this as it seems we have the same fork. Did you cut the front edge of the tank ? I tried the fork with the Laverda triple clamps once and they touched the tank.
Make notes I want to know everything :)
Why did you modify the Paso axle, didn`t you have the original Laverda one ?

Yes i do have the laverda axle, but it has three thicknesses.

And the forks I've bought were cheap because the threat was broken.

The threat on the paso axle is 16 x 1,5 mm so i could immediately cut new threat in those forks. (laverda threat is about 14-15 mm.)

Now the forks are just on the bike (had to cut off a piece of iron from the frame to make it fit)

I didn't mount the tank yet, thats a problem for later times.

When i'm finished with the total project i will write a total story of it, with photo's

For now, i've put just a few pics on the net but i will do more.

I'm just very busy at this time because i just started working for myself, so i hope my pasoproject will be finished in april (it already took me a whole year now :banghead: )

(had to cut off a piece of iron from the frame to make it fit)
you mean the 2 steering stops ? I will try to either modify the Laverda lower triple clamp or find other ones (ie 900SSie I have laying here. Their offset is nearer to the one of the Paso triple clamps)
It`s courageous to do all that work and cutting parts from the frame without knowing if it will fit at all with the tank and the front fairing. Did you think about what steering bars to use yet ?

Yes i thought about the clipons.

They are from a 916 (risers)

that part is ok, the only problem now is the tank.

But when the tank does not fit, i will make a new one from carbonfiber and epoxi resin bought in your country.

What i'm doing is seriously "over the top" ,
but there's no way back and i like to do the work.

About the other option; it is easier to fit a early adjustable 900ss fork.

I chose to do it the hard way and will never do it again (you can buy a second hand 750 paso for it).

youll hear from me, ab.

ps. i just added 2 pics in my album.

The front fender is a laverda formula, and the rear is a monster.

I just put the tank on my bike to see how big the problems are, and they will not fit yet.

I have to cut a little but not so much.

From now on i will update my photoalbum and try to give some usefull comments each .....two weeks.
