First ride of the season

Post by mrinflux »

Guys,

Today it was in the 60ties here in the Northeast United States. The first real riding day of the season. With the warm weather comes that annual ritual of uncovering and firing up the bikes, dusting off the helmet, and anxiously seeing if my leathers still fit after a winter of eating too much.

It was a beautiful first ride. My leathers fit just fine, and the old 907ie fired up without a problem. I took a leisurely ride in the warm afternoon sun, rediscovering, (as I do every spring), what a fantastic motorcycle the 907 is! What a truly elegant, civilized, well-designed, beautiful motorcycle. Every time I ride one of my 907ies, I remember why it is I own three of them. I love this bike. It's the kind of bike I'll be able to ride, (God willing), well into my 70ties.

Tamburini is the tits!

Elton

I had a little accident on my black 907.
I'm feeling a little pain to my right feet, so I think my first little trip will be on the next week.
Very nice words about your beloved 907s!
Nothing about that lovely 1098    ?

Gorgeous here, too, but too much sand and salt left on the roads hereabouts, so I'm spending quality time in the garage with the sun streaming in!

I rode my Indiana today for an hour instead of taking a lunch/beer break. The day was glorious and the Indy ran really nice.

The weather was wonderful down here and we had a babysitter for the weekend. I have Mondays off, so between Friday after work and last night, my wife and I rode over 1200 miles in the mountains. I logged over 300 on my little Paso 750.

Where are you located. I hear a rumor there is a big bike night at Hooters in New Castle where there has never been even one red headed Italian girl. Planning an invasion very soon,Got any interest?

I live in Lambertville,New Jersey and also fired up my 92 907IE and had a beautiful ride up to Frenchtown on Sunday where I crossed over and went up Rt. 32 back to New Hope.It is a world class bike.Anyone who hasnt experienced the 907 rush I feel sorry for.I also own a 1983 BMW R100 and my mechanic/friend called me one day to tell me a 907 was for sale.Without knowing anything about the bike I went to see it and hear it.That was it!!Enjoy the season... :D

higgy,

I live in Philly, but I keep my bikes in a garage in Hopewell, NJ. I'm interested. Let me know when it is.

macwig,

It would seem we're neighbors! I have yet to run into another 907ie in our area. A large group of us meet every Sunday morning at 9:00 am, at the Brass Ring, at the intersection of 518 and Rt. 31, (just north of the intersection, on the South-bound side of 31). That's about 4 miles west of Lambertville. Come on out and join us! We'll have the two coolest bikes there.

But the Paso is "little".....I believe it is dimensionally the smallest bike I own, plus it is the smallest displacement (tied with the 748), and it has the least amount of horsepower and torque, so....yes, the Paso is "little".
