Re: Frame numbers / register?
Damn Higgy - Love the headlights . . . what happened to your pillion grab-rail?
Here are my details:
Year Built: 1992
Frame no.: 2198
Engine no: 2083
Ducati Red
Mileage: 1,990 miles from new
Condition: Concours (or it would be if I could get a bloody tool kit!!! Top money waiting for one . . . )
Two owners: 1st from 1992 until October 2010 when I bought it at auction.
Still wearing the original tyres (it won't be when I put her back on the road!)
Modifications: The easily replaceable exhaust centres have been taken out to . . . Errr . . . improve . . . errr . . . airflow. Honestly officer . . .
Have to say - having seen some of the other photos - if I wasn't quite so anal about exact originality I'd paint her black as the soul of Satan himself.

Re: Frame numbers / register?
I am the second owner of a black 1992 California spec 907 frame #1600, manufacured in 10/91, first sold 04/04/94. If all the black 907's were built in 1991 I wonder how many red 92's were built in 91? Were the black bikes frame numbers in order?

Yes, they were all 92's but often a manufacture builds the new model in the last months of the prior year. It sounds like a number of red bikes were also made in 91. I wonder if any 92's were manufactured in 92.

higgy and Rhino...nice bikes
I purchased the 907 new in oct'92

now travelled nearly 17,000 km
modifications done:
-full staintune exhaust system
-FBF stage one chip
-honda CBR600 radiator cap mod
-stand down (when in gear) warning buzzer...I still think this is a great mod
-dual electric horn
-refurbished seat
-machined alloy footrest ass
-goldplating visible bolts

-deka battery
future mods:
-braided brake and clutch lines
-space footrests 15-20mm out (not down, just out)
-2nd high profile touring seat
-alloy spacers to lift handlebars

Re: Frame numbers / register?
looks like there is a 1991 on E-bay in parts, number 1221, must be one of the last 91's built. Mark it as off road DOA.
