My First Paso (Hopefully)
Hi, I'm Marty from Perth, Western Australia I'm a Ducati Monster nut in my mid-forties I currently have seven working Monster and enough spares to build another three, plus I have a 1978 classic Mini.
A few years ago I was too slow and missed out on a mint condition Paso 906 in blue selling for a give away price. Last week I received a message from someone wanting to know if I was interested in a Paso he had sat in his shed. The excitement for a Paso has been reignited, after reading much on this forum and some great advise from Gerhard I've signed up and will be going to check out the bike this afternoon!
As you can see it needs a fair bit of work. My first challenge will be talking the present owner down from his current asking price of $2200 AUD!

Re: My First Paso (Hopefully)
Welcome.
Yeah, it looks a bit rough from the photos. Is the tank dented, or is that just funny light? Seems it spent some time outdoors by the look of the seat. Might be a gem after a bit of work. Hope the bike is a good one, and you can get the price down a bit. Fair bit of work to take it back to stock.
Cheers, Phil

Re: My First Paso (Hopefully)
I passed on the Paso
Every single panel was damaged including the fuel tank, the taco clear plastic was missing as we're all the gauge needles, cooling system was all busted, the exhaust was damaged the rear wheel had a large dent in it, the tyres were knackered, the ignition system was missing & the engine had 70,000 kms on it. The Mikuni carbies looked ok!
But I'll keep looking......

He wouldn't go below $2000! I was reluctant to go over $200, even as part I really couldn't see much that could be saved!ducinthebay wrote: Parts bike at this point sounds like. Unless of course its real cheap.

Re: My First Paso (Hopefully)
That first Paso looks a lot like stolen/recovered. All the damage doesn't add up to a crash and the parts that are missing or broken must read like a grocery list. Heaven alone knows what happened to the engine.

Re: My First Paso (Hopefully)
The new Speedo (Dash) was on Ebay a while back at an horrendously expensive price so I wonder what all these bits are going for as I can't seem to see it over in the UK.

Have a look at:
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1989-Ducati- ... SwI-BWLe0i
for the listing of the complete bike.
There is a frame on Oz eBay too from the same seller, but can't say if it is from the same bike:

cheers.
Nick.

It's shame when we get new members using this site to basically test the landscape for just selling stripped bike parts.
Why not just stick an advert and help fund this site instead ?
