Hello, I recently bought an '87 paso 750 and have new sprockets for it and want to replace the chain as well. One shop told me it used a 520 106 link chain, and another shop said to use 530 108 link. I have a new 38 tooth for the rear, and a 15 tooth for the front. Anyone know?

Note some very early pasos used a different chain (520?)
Type DA-OR 136 up to serial number 750130
Type DA-OR 135 from serial number 750131

I think, MOST of 750 Pasos use 520 chain/sprockets...

"530" etc. is the pitch and width of the chain measured in units of one-eighth inch, so 530 is 5/8" pitch x 3/8" wide. Similarly 520 is 5/8" pitch x 2-eighths, i.e. 1/4" wide. (D.)
According to Ian Fallons book 750 Pasos up to frame No. 750130 had a 5/8x3/8 chain while from framenumber 750131 a 5/8x1/4 was used.
So early Pasos had a 530 and later ones a 520 chain. (G.)
