Alternate wheels for the 907s

Post by Cybermunster »

Thinking of putting a different set of wheels on my 1992 907, any suggestions?
Photos would be great and very much appreciated!!

Thanks!

I think this is about rims, not tires.
I always loved the ones of the Bimota Furano (the 2 piece rims, not the one piece - search the forum for Furano and you`ll find some pics). They show up on ebay once in a while, but not now in winter.

the purple Paso has the 1 piece Bimota Furano wheels (I like the others more)

Yes, my interest in a set of rims, not sure about which will fit though.
Thinking about something with 5 spokes, Marvics or Marchesini.

Those on the purple bike look very nice and I'd love to get my hands on a CF front fender!!

Here`s Johns (Danas ex-bike) with 5 spoke rims (not sure how good the rims match the rest of the design)

here the 2piece (colour) version of the rims shown in my last post

there`s actually a front wheel on ebay right now but it`s missing the side adapters (for brake discs and wheel bearings)

Anti, yes. That purple bike is one from the Japan Paso Club.
The carbon fender looks like one of a 916/748.

To this; Those bimetallic Marvic wheels were ONLY in year 1992 900 SS SUPERLIGHT modell, as 93 modell came already with normal wheels(and silver frame). 91 had also normal (as in 907IE) wheels. I would say, that You cant find such wheels anywhere, as those SS guys are also very intrested of them and IF You will find such, then You have to pay same amount, "as Your Paso coast"....

maybe Dymag wheels can provide a solution. personally I like those wheels. I'm looking already a long time for a pair of magnesium spokes and carbon rims, but they tend to be very expensive.
