907 Resurrected

I thought I would share an update on my recently resurrected '92 907. Purchased this 1 owner barn find back in August. It is clear it has been sitting most of its life in a collectors storage. The bike was last registered in 2012 and now shows 650 miles after my 30 mile shake down run this weekend. When I received her it had not been started (thank goodness no one tried) for quite some time as the fuel tank was full of rancid fuel probably from 2012. Ironically, the full tank of stale fuel likely preserved the tank from rust. Once I got all the old gas sludge and stainer bits out of the tank, it cleaned up nicely. I ordered a new fuel pump, filter, strainer and lines per the forum recommendation and reinstalled the tank. I flushed all fluids, flushed injectors, changed oil/filter and belts and installed a new battery and gave it a go. After burning all the Marvel Mystery oil out of the cylinders, she ran really nice. I was blown away that not only does the bike run great, but everything works including the clock! I've detailed the bike and she is as near perfect as a 30 year motorcycle can be. I purchased this bike as a project and plan to sell. Not exactly sure what a 1-owner, 650 mile all original (never been wrecked) 907 is worth, but I wanted to share it with you all in case someone would be interested. I'f not, I plan to post on Bring-A-Trailer in the coming months. I really hope this bike ends up with either a collector or someone passionate about Paso's.

Wow, that’s really nice. Thank you for saving it and not parting it out.
I agree with the $5K+ estimate, I paid $4750 for my black one with 16K miles earlier this year.
You could try to list it over at Ducati.ms. That site is pretty active, maybe a buyer there.
You may want to consider Iconic Motorbikes for the sale, they seem to do a legit job. Good luck.

I appreciate the feedback. Yes, familiar with Iconic and Adam does a great job keeping these old bikes alive! I've got the room so I may wait till early next year to post.
