Re: 907 for £900 !!!!!

I have a tool kit for a 907, I'm asking about £900.00 for it. Mind you for that price there is the bike to go with it. It's a clean 92 model with 32000 miles on the clock. I've owned it for five years. I need a lighter bike, my back is not what it used to be.

Re: 907 Contemplation

I think the discussion should move more towards the character of Italian engineers. I think they simply build machines to go fast, and worry about the the little things such as reliability, comfort, longevity, decent lights, etc much later, or not at all. My other hobby is racing radio controlled mo...

Re: fuel tank capacity

I don't know the exact difference, but it's qite a bit. I filled my tank to the brim with the bike on the centre stand on the way to get it MOT'd a couple of years ago. I arrived at the garage and parked the bike in the bay. A couple of minutes later when the mechanic came to examine the bike, there...

Re: 907ie petrol tank with very small petrol seepage

I used to own a Suzuki. The front mounting on the tank had two C shaped lugs that located onto large rubber mounts on either side of the frame, just behind the steering head. This solution offers more support and spreads the load. The rear mounts stop the tank from moving. I think it would not be to...

Re: 907ie petrol tank with very small petrol seepage

One thing that occurs to me is that using tank sealant may only mask an underlying problem. I had a problem with the front mount and it was fixed with a plate. It may be that if your front mount is cracked it may be putting pressure on the rear mount.

Re: Rebound Damping?

I've adjusted at my settings over the last few months and have improved the feel. The manual I have says that there are four complete turns of the adjuster end to end. However the owner's manual disagrees with the direction one says anti clock to increase, the other says clockwise. somewhere near th...

Re: Paso luggage.

Ankhati, Could you give some details of these Krauser brackets, I've not had much luck finding any mounting brackets for the Paso. A few years ago I fitted some original Krauser panniers to a Hepco Classic pannier rack. I just needed to make some new brackets where the panniers lock on to the frames...

Re: My engine Rattles any ideas?

I think you may have answered your own question. To test if the chain and sprockets are worn. First make a visual inspection of the front and back sprockets, the teeth should look even, not hooked on one side. The engine sprocket is particularly prone to wearing, if this is ok try to lift the chain ...

Re: Cleaning White Wheels

I use the same method. I find WD40 first sprayed on a rag can be used to protect many parts of the bike. Especially if it is laid up for some time in a cold and damp environment i.e. the U.K.

You've got me worried now. I thought the only weak point was at the front of the tank. Never a dull moment with a Paso!
