Re: Fork Service/Rebuild

There is a lot of 40mm seals out there. Is it anything for a 40mm marzocchi fork? The genuine part number doesnt seem to generate a set.

Fork Service/Rebuild

Geez I'm posting a bit here :P So with the wheels on I gave the front a push. Suspension went down and came back up but without much enthusiasm. No leaks/marks on the forks, just doesnt feel great. Maybe with me on boaerd riding it may feel better but the bike is a while away before it hits the road...

Re: Cleaned up Carb

So off each side of the carb, into the T and then down the LHS of the bike into the box of tricks at the back. Bottom RH corner, that's the pipe connection

Cleaned up Carb

Bit of a diiference between straight off the bike to the ultrasonic cleaned version! New service kit and float installed ready to go back on the bike. Niow, I've made a real rookie error...I didnt photo everthing and as its been weeks since the carb was removed I forget how the fuel lines went. I th...

Re: New Ducati Sport Owner Melbourne AUS.

Nope. The rear caliper bleed screw is still leaking. Perhaps a sealing washer?

Re: New Ducati Sport Owner Melbourne AUS.

Latest update on works! Wheels are on. Bled rear brake, feels spongey but until i can road test it who knows? The bleed nipple leaked so I tightened it up, but I feel its too tight...you know when you tighten into softish metal it just feels excessive but it did stop the leak. Front, doing it the ol...

Re: Weber Carb settings

Float Height thoughts.. Brad the bike boy said 44mm float height, I have seen 43 on a forum. Mine was and is 42mm. Does a couple of mm make a diff?

Exhaust Headers

Hello All, I've jumped over from the 750 Sport page to seek some advice. I have a 1990 750 Sport it is a USA import to Australia, The headers are some kinda home made mess and I'm after some new ones. My measurements show the outer diameter to be 38mm. I think this was a USA thing. Would any of you ...

Re: Exhaust Blues

I have a fairly basic mocrometer and I'm reading 38mm I reckon if I go bigger they wont fit onto the cylinder head. I'm gonna jump the fence an see if the Paso lads know if their headers are 38mm. A paso system should fit

Re: Exhaust Blues

Hey Mc tool, yep the road worthy needs a standard pipe. They take photos of it and send it to Vicroads Also vicroads want to inspect it to see if it needs a specific engineering certificate for Victoria its been done in QLD but.... PITA really. I'll get the bike back together and take it and the sta...

Re: Exhaust blues

Oh, being a USA import the headers are smaller diameter than the rest of the world. So, finding a set in Aus wont fit... I can see why the bloke was keem to sell :(

Exhaust blues

I have a set of genuine 750SS exhaust cans. Thought they would fit my bike (had high hopes!). It would appear the 2 into 1 system fitted is a home made job. Phuck I say! Option would be to take the bike on a trailer to an exhaust shop and see if they can fit it. The header bolts are rusty, they dont...

Re: Front axle alignment issue

A head stem stand would be the go. Lesson learnt. The under fork units....hmmmm. found a few bits of wood and used em to set up the calipers, should work fine. The clutch...if it works ok for a bot of riding I'll get Brad to do it when I get it serviced, to make sure it's all ok. Out with the green ...
