The tank is part of the fairing and its different than that of a 907 , no internal fuel pump

Very nice looking 906 , my compliments! I have a 906 too, it draws a lot of attention indeed but they are not popular on the market.

I had the same with my 94 900ss, 1 liter oil every 1000km . no smoking or bad odors. Turned out to be the valve seals which became hard . Previous owner had switched the seal colors, should be black for inlet, green for outlet valves.

I use a shindengen fh012aa regulator, I have only connected the 2 pink from the generator and the red/black and the black wire to the battery. It has been running great for a year now. Down side is you will loose the charge dash light.

for my 906 I ordered a Febi Bilstein 06031 fan switch which looks exactly the same. 22 x 1.5 mm thread , 92 and 87 C switch temps. I have yet to find out if it fits but it most probably will

i use the same plugs on all fittings on my 906 but also on the 750 i had. So fix the holes like Higgy wrote.

i still have the flanges, i managed to fit the belts while rotating them slowly over the flanges

on my 750 and now on my 906 i replaced the balls with new ones (picked them up at a local bicycle store). also stuck the pin I my drilling machine at high revs and used waterproof sand paper to smooth the inside of the pin where the ball rolls, some new ball bearing grease and a new seal and it feel...
