Re: New Paso Owner
Ike, Indeed - clearly a wet clutch :) I reckon you may have an early 750SS engine there (with the narrow crankcases at the swingarm so it fits without machining). I checked my 1991 750SS engine which has these early type crankcases (but which has a dry clutch, from before they switched to the wet cl...

Re: New Paso Owner
Hi, Sounds like there is a lot of interest in your new bike! Congratulations on your new (old) Ducati! The 1991 750SS bikes had crankcases with the narrower swingarm mounting (I have one in the shed). The aluminium swingarm had adaptors to fit the narrower crankcases. Only the first 1000 or so in 19...

Re: Rock vs 17 inch Wheel.
Jon, Indeed, the urge to hit something with a rock was strong, so maybe I should have at least tried :) Also I should have noted materials better! Thanks for the prompt. (1) Spacers * Spacer Type A: spec'd as DIN 1.4031 (420 SS) – but I think from memory I ended up with 6061 or 7075 for easier machi...

Re: Tire /wheel option
Hi, I recall considering this, but was worried about a minimum width increase with the new flanges? i.e. as I read it, the increase in diameter came with a complusory minimum width increase? No issue for the rear wheel, as you state, or at least manageable. But for the front wheel is it possible to ...

Re: Rock vs 17 inch Wheel.
Jon, McTool - unfortunately it was leaking air so my roadside repair attempts were doomed :) I did stare at it a long time with a rock in hand, but some friends stopped me applying the rock + force randomly to bike parts! Yamanima - sorry, my French language skills are not good, but from the link in...

Re: What way to go here in Ducatipaso.org web sites???
Hi all, I must admit I didn't really 'get' how difficult it must be to use your second (or third etc) language to try and communicate technical conversation until I moved overseas from Australia. Living in the Netherlands and working in the middle east, africa, asia etc has changed forever the way I...

Re: Ducati Paso Club Membership
Okay, So most probably I am computer inept, but when I try and join via the link http://club.ducati.com/_layouts/ducaticlub/registration/register.aspx I have to indicate my membership club (i.e. ducatipaso.org). First I have to select a Country. The DOC list shows ducatipaso.org as registered in the...

Re: Desmo Owners Club DOC
Hi all, So I searched for DOC and Desmo Owners Club but not D.O.C or Ducati Club :) I have been pointed in the right direction (Thanks G) so thought I would just reply here with the link to close it out. http://forums.ducatipaso.org/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=3304&hilit=welcome+kit Cheers, Mick

Desmo Owners Club DOC
Hi All, I'm trying to book a tour of the Ducati factory and museum for me and my Father when he visits from Australia. Only DOC members are allowed to book on Saturdays (the only time when I'm free from work). I see on the homepage ducatipaso.org is a DOC (confirmed on the Ducati list http://www.duc...

Fraser - have to agree. My intent was to make it so when they do get power sorted and kids back to school etc and get to logging on there's a topic waiting asking after their general well being :) From what I've heard from others back that way it was really really lucky it struck at the time of day ...

Christchurch NZ Earthquake
So, Reports of the last aftershock centred on Lyttleton and damage to the tunnel made me think of what it might be like to be caught in there during a quake......shudder..... Which prompted me to ask if all the kiwi board members in ChCh are all safe and sound with minimal damage to their surrounds ...

G, I've still got the OE clutch line on by the looks of it and there is no rubber cover on the banjo bolt at the clutch cover. I've still got the rubber cover on the clutch line at the master cylinder though and was planning on removing it when I upgrade the clutch line - you can have it then if it ...

Re: New cure for hard to start Paso bikes
Hi all, I've just fitted one of these kits to my 906 and the bike starts first time, every time now. It has made a notable difference and I no longer hold my breath while pressing the starter. It's gotten to the point I expect it to fire up straight away! (can't say that for any other Ducati I've ow...
