Re: Light engine rebuild questions

I have a Ferracci system installed
?? What is that?
Paso & Sport pistons were "hi comp" as standard 10:1. What are these you have bought?
Fast by Ferracci made 11:1 pistons and also 90mm 11:1 pistons.

Fast by Ferracci big bore kit

Now this would be a interesting project. This piston kit is on ebay at the moment. Anyone know of a sport or paso with it fitted? $386.40 for 1 piston! And you still need to have the machining done.

Re: Rear shock info

Johnny There is a manual on this site for the Marzocchi with the external resorvoir - which i think is fitted to the paso. Very similar to the sport Marzocchi. I followed this to rebuild mine, just make sure you put all the washers back exactly the same as you took them off. Initially i refilled wit...

Re: 17"wheel conversion

Foxtee. i've also noticed that i have fitted those aluminum brackets the "other" way around to you. Which would mean i have them on opposite sides to you as well. Mine were not marked so which is correct? I see you have fitted braided lines? Did you get them made up? I had my set done here...

Re: 17"wheel conversion

Hi Foxtree i see you have also fitted the 40mm brembo calipers with bevel heavens bracket. i have also done the same on my sport (but with the 16" wheel). does it make any difference where you fit the hose to the caliper? i have seen pictures where the bleed screw and hose connection are swoppe...

Re: Paso 750 handling - can anyone describe it to me?

Graeme the front tyre will be the biggest culprit. Not only is the tyre old but it's also old technology. I race my 750 sport and use a Bridgestone 016 or 014, 130/70/16 and it steers beautifully. very neutral and very light to change directions. once the bike is cranked over, you can almost take yo...

Re: My 17" conversion

Thanks for the input guys. interesting variations here - i have a steel swing arm (i'm told came off the news SS models) but if i just drop the 4.5 17" rim in the with my current spacers, the sproket does not line up so i need to do some work here. I'm staying with the 16" front as with th...

Re: My 17" conversion

Hi helge-siens
I have a rear 17" brembo rim from a 750 ss ducati - 4.5" which i now want to replace the 16" rear rim on my sport. Do you have details of the spacers you used to fit the 17" rim including how you got the sprocket to line up?
cheers

Re: PANIC! pictorial reference needed

Hi on the 750 sport (same wheels, brakes and forks, except for damp adjust) the axle is the spacer. As you put the front axle in from the left - standing in front of the bike - it slides all the way through the forks and wheel and the last part of the axle is at a diameter where it faces up to the w...

Re: how to ruin a Sport

I think you guys need to be a bit more open minded. i quite like what hes done. shows lots of inguenity. Not all sports have to look the same. the scale of work involved to do all those mods is huge. only when you try some of it do you realise how much work is needed. give the guy some kudos for doi...

Claude
the 888 motor was first raced in Austria in 1988 and ran the whole season in 1989, guess that's why this guy is allowed to ride it pre '89.

Re: Who races their 750 sport?

Thanks for the feedback Keith In the pre '89 class you come up against everything pre 89 - RC30s, OW01s, GSXRs and a few 888s which of course the 750 is no match. But there here are few F1s other 750s and we brush up against some 600s and 350 Yamaha LCs so it is good racing. I just love being able d...

Who races their 750 sport?

Hi Guys just interested if anyone else here on this Sport forum races their 750? I started out wanting to completely rebuild my 750 back to road condition. But over the 2 year period I was bitten by the track day bug. Rather than possibility falling off my 08 Honda VFR800 (would have upset the missu...

Re: Front Discs

Not sure if any here on this forum has found the optimum set with these brakes. As stated above i now have stainless discs and using SBS pads which are apparently designed for stainless discs. They're not bad but still no where near what you get from a more modern set up. I think one definite improv...
