Thanks Doug - it's for sale, if you know anybody who'd be interested. It's not exactly baby-friendly (we have a 1yo daughter) and if it's nice enough to be out in that, I'd rather be on 2 wheels anyway ...

Thanks! The Audi's been a good ride. Awesome on the highway. But that backseat is definitely not conducive to baby seats.

That TDI is tight. Very clean; I like! Any not-so-stock bits reside within?

LOL what IS still stock?

suspension swapped out with eibach prokit springs and bilstein sport shocks, neuspeed rear anti-sway bar and billet front lower tie bar.

wheels are from a 2004 R32. 18x7.5 on 225/40-18 Eagle F1s

front-end swapped with Audi TT, including 312mm brembo rotors, TT calipers, carriers, hubs and wheel bearings (rear brakes are stock with brembo rotors too) and Mintex redbox pads

interior swapped out to leather sport interior from 2002 GTI, still looking for leather 4-door door panels. steering wheel also swapped out for OEM leather unit

engine has upsolute stage 1 ECU reflash. 110HP/200LB-ft at the wheels on a dynojet. exhaust exits through OEM stainless muffler from anniversary GTI (same as Audi TT)

lots of little exterior modifications to clean up the appearance. i dont like cluttered cars, so i use lots of OEM stuff.

Just bought Mrs. faster an '05 Subaru Legacy sedan tonight, pick it up tomorrow. All black, spoiler, stick. Couldn't sell her on the GT (turbo!) though.

That's alright, it's still a fun little whip. Likes the corners! The sales guy told me to get on the freeway and "hammer it" down the on ramp. I was like, are you sure?

Because it's not *my* car and it's not even the one I'd be buying, so I don't mind giving a test driver a hard breaking-in, if I'm not taking it home. I'm not sure if my version of hammering it was what he had in mind, but I was SOLD!

I put money down on my 907 in November of '90, then picked it up in May of '91? Still own it. Here are a few pics of other stuff it shares space with:

Nissan Patrol 4x4 wagon (need to carry the Kiddies) :screwy:

(under restoration....or at least under covers awaiting restoration). Don't have any pics on this computer but will get some up ASAP.

I love my K series BM. I purchased mine in 1990 with around 10,000 Kilometres on the clock. I now have 120,000+ on it despite having it off the road for a few years while i did some work on it after I started chewing splines on the end of the shaft. It has been the most effortless bike to own. very reliable, plenty of carrying capacity & just sweet to cruise @ 140 all day. It is also great on dodgy roads which is what we have lots of here in Australia. I have got a lot of mates on to them & they have all thanked me for this. They used to laught at me for being 21 & buying a BMW, now they all own them as well. Funny how things improve with age.

They are a very under-rated bike (as most BMWs are). I remember a few years back doing a ride day @ Eastern Creek race Circuit in @ Sydney with my Brother on his MHR900 (81). his Hailwood was on rails arouond the bends while the BM bucked a bit with the power comming on through the shaft. But when we hit the Straight I left him for dead. the BM was reading 235 Km/hr on the speedo. I was impressed

Hey Faster - Lols at the 'Exploder' tag - strangely, they were nicknamed that here too mate.......

List for me is:

Mitsubishi Triton 2.8 T/D GLS 4WD Double-cab - 04 & fairly modified - my 'main wheels' - averages 1000km a week.
Toyota Landcruiser BJ 70 - 89 - My 'hardcore' 4WD - really cooool truck!! Just had a big 'birthday' at Easter - motor & box transplant etc. Now done 351000km, & still a tidy vehicle.
Toyota Hilux 4WD - 85 flatdeck - farm ute - been to hell & back - (twice) but good for shifting stubborn bulls etc.
Honda CT 200 - 94 - farm bike
Yamaha Kodiak ATV - 00 - Farm bike
Ducati Paso 906 - 89 - Farm bike.......nah - My Toy!! But does'nt get used enough at the moment.........

Duck, I should've figured ... lucky dog w/ the BJ70. No such beasts in the States (legally!) although every now & then someone sneaks one in from the Canucks and manages to finesse it through the DMV. Very cool indeed - posts some pics!!

And the Hilux too - wickedness!

Hey there Faster - yeah, I'll try & get some pics sorted - will start with some of the Duke first though.......
That FJ of yours - has been years since I seen a 3speed one here - most are long gone now. Even my 70 is relatively rare here, as there were'nt many imported new, although there has been a few Jap Import ones come into NZ since then.
A awesome truck - if I could buy a new one I would, but seeing as ya can'nt now - I'll just keep rebuilding the old girl as & when it needs it. (Has just had a 13BT motor & box transplant at Easter time...)
