Help with one bit left over

Post by Marinus »

Just putting the bike back together and can't remember what this bit is from. Been a few months. You know how it is. :D

It's rubber. I already looked at it when I got my container of bits out and thought  . I was hopping it would come to me through the prosses but allas no.

It looks like a rubber bumper that attaches to the headlight cowl framework. They pop onto the frame and the cowl rests against them.

I also thougth the same thing, but the bumper would be curved at the other face, and by the photo it don't seems so.

No matter, could be it.

if it`s not that it could be the rubber bumper on the frame where the front end of the tank is laying on.

Those 2, what are between front fairing and light bracket are more "round" from corners and that one between tank and frame is not so "round" from corners.... At least in my bikes... Anyway i really cant imagine that smaler piece to Paso... Can it be from some other, than Paso?

Ding, Ding, Ding, we have a winner.
Gerhard takes home the prize. What was the prize btw?

My body work is off right now so I looked. It is the tank bumper near the steering head. These are showing the opposite side and it is the one on the right

I new it wasn't the headlight rubber because they are on there and there are two of them (easy to see if there is one missing).

Must be the tank one. I already felt it was not as secure as it should be. Glad you we got that sorted before I put on all the rest of the fairing on.

ONE LAST THING. I also don't remember what gose on first the tank or the front fairing. Dose it matter?

Cheers Guys.

My mind still works fine.

I lifted the tank up and the rubber that is supposed to be under there is there. I compared them and they are the same so either there is supposed to be another one somewhere or I have a spare. There were a few odds and ends in the box under the seat (remnants of the side stand) when I got the bike so maybe it was amongst them.
I guess I have a spear and my mind is still working well

It's not very often I cant work it all out. It was bothering me from the moment I saw it because I couldn't remember taking it off anything.
