Anyway, unless you have a complete service history to prove it unnecessary, and as the bike's been laid up for a long time, the best insurance is to replace...sort of a "belts and braces" approach, as you Brits might say. (You can explain to our Italian friends, Francesco, Nicola et al)

New belts are on the way to me, as soon as they arrive i will fit them. i had to replace the fuel lines as they were perished and leaking fuel badly,also going to change the oil and oil filter asp and use Mobil 1 oil. so up to now thats all there is do then i can go out for my first ride on a Paso which i am realy looking forward to doing hopefully it will be ok. thanks for your advice guys.
