fuel indicator

Hi guys i finished to mount my lcd cockpit but i can't be able to make function the fuel indicator.
from my electrical plan there are three wires come out from the tank indicator:
Black-ground
Violet-reserve fuel signal
Pink-fuel level
i think thesre are correct,isn't it??
i'm thinkig uder the tank they are badly coonnected i post a photo to give you an idea of what i see near the indicator

I have just now my 750 Paso tank "open" and i have in my hand that "sender unit", like Your foto: U have JUST RIGHT connnections in Your sender unit, but surely check all those 3 connectors, that they are free from any shit/dust/corrosion, etc... I think, Your problem is some other, than sender unit.

Is it possible, that U send enough details about Your dashboard here, what U are using???? I am very courious, whatkind unit U try to use now.... U mention only, that "lcd cockpit"

It can be, that Your unit CANT work with Paso sender unit....

I am using an acewell cockpit with many function....
one of these is fuel level....
i want to use it!!!!

any suggestion???????

Piero, now U have to take contact to Your dashboard suplier and ask details, how that "fuel measuring" function! That is ONLY way, U can go on. You have to know EXACT, how that dash measures fuel level and then U can go on.... There are different resistors in that sender unit and if that resistance DONT fit to Your dashboard resistance, then need to fix it to match....

From WHERE U bought that dash and what was price????? Let me know that! If needeed, then with personal mail (PM)... I am very intrested about that dashboard and i try to help with electrics...

Antti i have electrical plan of this cockpit and tere is one cable that have to be connected to the resistance of the fuel indicator of the tank....
i connect this wire to the pink wire from the tank,i suppose, from my electrical paso drawing,this have to be correct...

then there is another wire connected to a led for the reserve light,
i connected it to the violet wire coming out of the tank....
Now the indicator doesn't function and the reserve light is ever turned on

i don't know how to procede.....
regard the dashboard i buyed it from a local moto store and i payed 160 euro

I have just now 750 Paso wiring in my hand, and looks, that violet wire is output from that warning light, Bk(black) is 12 Volt supply to sender unit (and to warning light) and Pink is output to fuel meter, depending of level.

Better U check with multimeter in DC Voltage area, what is that 12V supply and what varies about depending fulel level, cause they can be also via versa, if thinking wiring chematic. Check that 12Volt supply from bikes connector, NOT from sender unit connector. Best would be, that U connect that male/female connector and can put multimeter to that connector pieces, but then U have to be very carefull, to not make shortcut to circuit !!!! In car spare part shops, there are such connectors(ABIKO), that U can take "test wires" out from normal wires without making damage to originals and if U use such, then easy to make all measurements with DC Voltage area with multimeter.... Those Abikos are very cheap.... No need to CUT any wires then....

Nice panel.

The fuel meter needs 0-100 ohm as input. Found on a swedish reseller info page about Acewell products.

Check between the pink and black cables.
The violet is for the light.

I lookeed just MORE about wirings and looks, that normal Paso 750 fuel meter gets 12 V supply direct to backside of fuel meter and black wire from sender unit goes to ground and just that PINK is output voltage from sender unit to meter input (and that pink wire voltage depend, how much fuel U have in tank).

Have to remind, that Your new dash need 0....100 ohm sender unit and if Paso have some other amount of ohms(resistance) in sender unit, then new dash fuel meter doesnt function in Paso, or it shows wrongly amount of fuel....

From the electrical plan of this new dashboard ,the wire of the fuel level is made to read a 0-80 ohm resistance.....
i supposed that i can' t read exactly the level, but the light is made on simple circuits i don't understand why is ever turned on,as the tank is ever empty

i suppose this wire took the negative signal from other parts...
what do you think??

I really dont know, how Your new dasboard circuit function, cause i dont have anykind schematic about Your dashboard, but i think, its better, if U ask more details from same shop, where You bought it. It can be also, that your new dash "measures" fuel level ANOTHER way, as Paso measure it. 750 Pasos fuel meters are "NOT ACCURATE", and not stable at all, but 907IE have much more stable, but still not accurate at all.... Light comes on, when there are still about 10l fuel left and then meter shows very close 0 litre!!! I never trust Paso fuel meters, but its good to know it. I use another trip(from bicycle) to zero it allway, when take fuel and i use that normal trip for oiling chain. And i know, how many kms i can do with 21l fuel tank.....

Anyway, let us know, how U managed with fuel meter display!

Annti i find the mistake!!!

the cable under the tank were wrong positioned
i checked with the tester the two cable of the tank sender
and i foun the tricky wires,
one is on off (LIGHT),the othe is connected to the resistance(LEVEL)
now i changed the pink and the violet wire position and all function......

Soon You are our "fuel level specialist"!!! :laugh: Especially, when You find out, how accurate that Your new dashboards fuel meter is. Let us know, how function.... Did You have any other problems with new dashboard, or was all other connections easy to do? How it measures speed, water temp and rpm ??? Other warning lights? Is there good instruction manuals with new dashboard package?

Take some close fotos, when U have put it to Paso. I am very courious, how it looks and fit to Paso dash place...

Till now i don't see if level is so accurate because today here it's raining,but when i tested with my hand in the tank,all seems ok...
the tacho is accurate but it suffers strict acceleration,and sometimes wrong for few moments,but it's digital i know before,
the rpm indicator is very accurate but i have to set up better because it's so dancing sometime....

the other function is dead easy to find and all functions good,
i put on
lateral stand advice-liquid cooling light
side indicator
warm oil light
Neutral
high lights
and i think that's all

soon i post photo of my bike finished
