body panel grommets

Post by Yank907 »

Anyone know the Ducati part number or the aftermarket sizing of the body panel grommets? There are several selling on aftermarket sites but I am not sure what the proper size is. I just have a couple that are kinda dry rotting and wanna replace them. The ones I have managed to salvage do not have any good markings on them to track em down.

Do you mean the nuts which hold the fairing to the tank (and the side fairings to the main fairings)?
If so, its number is 036499020.
No matter what, in the download section of this website, they have put the spare parts catalogue...

what about the bushings? Mine seem to be nylon or a hard plastic. I'm missing a few. I was thinking about rubber as a replacement. Any ideas?

sorry for the jhijack but they seem to go together.

You are refferring to the nylon washer that goes behind the bolt itself. It is black and nylon and you can get them at any ducati shop, or they can order them.

I am talking about the grommet that the bolt screws into behind the piece of body panel. I would not replace the washers with rubber they will get gummy on your paint and crack. The washers are very cheap from ducati. I think I got a set of them for the entire bike for about 6 bucks.
