No, the factory colours were the red, the blue and the pearl white on the limited edition.
If I well remember, the yellow has been introduced only ten years later on the 996.

The 1992 ('93?) 900ss Superlight was available in yellow. Then came the 748 in... '96?

Bevel drive Sports were also available in yellow back in the early '70s, as was at least one single cylinder bike.

But no, they never made a yellow Paso that I'm aware of.

You're right!
The 900 SL (Superlight) was built in yellow by the factory.
Later, came the 748 and the 996 (or also the 916) ?

The 916 was first offered in yellow in 1998, I think....

I believe the order and years for the SBK models is something like this....

1994 - very few first 916 bikes were made
1995 - regular production of the 916
1997 - 748 first manufactured (maybe 1996 for Europe)
1999 - 996 first manufactured
2002 - 998 first manufactured
2003 - 749/999 offered
2002 Ducati 748 monoposto
1998 Ducati ST2
1996 Suzuki GSXR-1100
1994 Bimota DB2
1988 MegaPaso 916 project
1987 Ducati Paso 750
1985 Harley FXEF
2001 Ducati M900ie (wife's)
2000 Yamaha YZF-R1 (wife's)
1998 Ducati ST2 (wife's)
1994 Suzuki GSX-750R (wife's)

Never seen it.
I'd say that the first 851 was "tricolore", green, red and white, and all the other 851/888 were red factory painted.

Are you looking at the one on Ebay from NY?

I know the owner and the bike is solid. He's a real duc collector and is just cleaning out some inventory.

Is there a yellow 851/888 currently in auction on Ebay?
I wasn't able to find it.
Since I'm curious, could you post the link?

Really, I think it was repainted because, moreover, the decals are in bad position, above all, the "Paso 750" ones.
