On my new to me 88 Blue Paso the oil and charging lights do not work. I cleaned the contacts on the back side of the instrument panel. I am not getting any voltage to them, I check with a meter.
I got all the other lights to work with a good cleaning. Any Ideas, those are the two lights I would like to have.
No oil , charge light,

I happened to have the +12v "line" broken in the circuit in the backward of the instrument panel.
Anyway, you can try to put the plug pon the oil bulb in contact straight to the frame (12v ground). This will tell you something about bulb and ground wire

That printed circuit behind dashboard can broke quite easily, but all contact surfaces in it must be out of all oxygen and totally clean. U can use multimeter in resistance scale to check continuty. Remember to clean well those bulb contact areas and easy to check also those bulbs in resistance scale.

An easy way to clean the contact areas is with the eraser from an eraseable ink pen. Those erasers are more abasive than one for a pencil. I cleaned mine that way....Finnpaso wrote:Remember to clean well those bulb contact areas
Clean one on the left, next to a corroded contact on the right...

Connector contacts...corroded on the left, clean on the right....

Charge light
The charge light does not work because that voltage regulator does not have a provision for it. That regulator was recommended to me by BCM in Laconia when the stock one failed. I figured it was a small sacrifice for a more dependable unit. Sorry, I had forgotten all about the light.
