rear axle removel

I received my chain and sprocket set from Bevel Haven (nice people) now in trying to get the rear wheel off I cannot get the axle to move. From what I can tell the axle is threaded into the concentric nut on the right side. It seems to be frozen in place even my impact wrench will not loosen it. Can I try heat on the threaded end?

OK I just removed the caps that hold on the adjusters so wheel is off. But they sent me the wrong rear sprocket.
And are there blind nuts holding on the bolts for the sprocket. Because my sprocket bolts are not catching any thread so I can not tighten them. (a friend gave me a sprocket).

I'm posting as I'm working. The sprockets I was given which where off an 88 Paso match up to the one I was sent, being the inside hole is 4 1/2 inchs and the one on my bike is 3 1/2 inchs. So.....?

Some heat might help break the nut fron the thread. Just go slow when applying the heat and try the wrench every few minutes.

What about the hub size where the sprocket sits. Are there two different for the paso? Mine is 3 1/2 and the spocket I got is for a 4 !/2 inch.

The spocket shown looks like there is an out side ring over it where the bolts go threw. The one I have is bolted right to the hub.

Don't know about the hub size.

The one in the picture looks more like a shoulder or raised section not a separate part.

Yes, that is a stock sprocket, and just thicker material at the center. I also have a replacement from Sprocket Specialists. Both have 3 1/2" centers. It would seem you have the wrong sprockets. As for the one that supposedly came off of a Paso, could it have come from a bike that was fitted with 17" wheels? Maybe that is where the difference is coming from...do 17" wheels have a 4 1/2" hub?

The sprocket specialists number shown on mine is 187Z for a 38 tooth. That is an alloy sprocket.

I was thinking the same thing....maybe sprockets from a 907ie with 17" wheels?

Got a call from Steve at Bevel Haven today and yes they sent me the wrong Sprocket but they have to make one up and that will take another two weeks.

Oh well guess I'll have to work on the Guzzi LeMans.
