You could, but I'd never do it. I've heard of people removing two springs, opposite of each other, to keep the pressure even and reduce the lever pull. I'm sure you could run it without the one spring with a new set of plates and probably never notice that it is missing, but if you do this, I'd definitely try to find another inner pressure plate with intentions of replacing the broken one.DaveM wrote:So i could carry on using the inner pressure plate as it is and just renew the clutch plates???

With that bolt and tower gone you are off center on the mass of the rotating clutch as a whole. Eventually it will cause you even more serious trouble, bearing failure, clutch drum nut-lock washer coming loose, etc.
