Exporting a Paso to australia

Post by Hawkesy »

A bit of a long shot but I was wondering if any of you have ever exported a Paso to australia.

Been over here 3 years and have decided that the bike has to come over now. It can no longer sit in my fathers garage and ridden once a year when I go back.

Anyway, just wondering if the bike is compliant for australian roads and if not how much work is required to make it so.

Thanks in advance.

Hawkesy, I think you'll probably get the the kind of information you need more quickly from a Harley dealer. I have found some of them are quite partial to Pasos, on account of them being low, comfortable, and torquey.

But I'd say, just do it. As we say in his part of the world, 'She'll be right, mate!'

Could be a problem, you will need an ADR plate on the frame (Australian Design Rules) and I don't know if they give exemptions.

Talk to your local motor registry or if in New South Wales find a mechanic who can issue "blue slips".

It's a nice idea, cus. I'm sure a few of us would be into it. I, however, am a rather unsociable bugger. I do appreciate the suggestion, though. And you never know ...

All righty-O then, lets start the ball rolling, Does anybody know how many Paso's were sold in OZ/NZ? or do we know where we can find these figures. Do you know of other Paso owners or Wannabe's that may be interested as well? There are at least 5 of us here so that is a good start. I will start a new threat calling PASO owners down south to band together 7 see what response we get.

Hey Skins, I am pretty Anti socail my self so we can leave our helmets on!

Paso Rally anyone????????????????????????????

Post by Leo »

What about in the near future we gather as many paso's as possible from all states and start a rally from Brizzy through sydney, melbourne via great ocean road to adelaide? A week should do it. It will be worth it if we can get at least 20 and just camp in caravan parks along the way. Who would be in???
