Riding position compared to........

What is the riding position compared to ST3? I test rode one of these which was a lot different than my E900 Elefant or the R1100RT I had before. Is it good for 2 UP? Any chances of hard luggage?

Not too sure about the 907, but the Paso 750 compared to the ST2 is a completely different bird. For one, the Paso is super small and narrow and feels like a toy more than anything else. The bars feel closer together and the sitting position feels a little more upright with the Paso. As for handling......I don't know, yet. :laugh:

Handling two up with a 907, no problemo! But the Paso is not
a big motorcycle compared to what you had before. I mean I rode
a KTM adventure 950 and it felt like riding, well high up, wide bars
and a long long way to the ground. Not for me! I had gsx 750 suzuki, 1150 Suzuki, Fzr 1000 Exup but 907 is best yet, comfy
seat, good suspension and a strong engine and above all the
LOOK of it it is BEAUTIFUL!!!!! :thumbup: :thumbup: :D Krakan

ST 3 have adjustable handlebars, my ST4S dont have, i have only 8mm bar risers(in garrage, not fitted yet), so new STs have more adjustable position. Anyway ST (and 907) are higher, than 750 Paso. Most of that comes from 16" wheels and after ST 750 Paso feels quite small, but at least to me, i can easily find good(but different) position from both, ST and 750 Paso without any problem. I am 176cm and 75kgs. 750 Paso is "designed" to 1 up, but 907 can handle 2 up much easier, than 750 Paso. 750 Paso dont have enough power for 2 up ride. Thats my opinion. Its very hard job to find ANYMORE hard luggage sets to Paso series bikes, only some used can be found, but very rarely. I have Krauser side bags in my 907, but i use them ONLY, when take very long trip. I have also Bagster tank protectors to Paso and ST, so i can use same tank bag systems in my all bikes, surely all are red... :D

I think, ST is made from bigger stuff and thats why it have more "space" in riders position. Also driver can put his/her knees to closer to fuel tank in ST, than in Paso. ST is made to narrower in drivers position, than Pasos. Also ST have is better, for such guy, who have longer legs. ST and Pasos are now very radical bikes, if talking about riding position, SS and Hypersports are much more harder, especially for hands. Surely Multistrada is easier and very close to Elephant.

I think, ST2 is very good product, if choose good 2 up bike with easy maintain and if need power with higher RPMs(916 engine), then choose ST4. If want best ST, then ST4S and ST3 is somewhere in middle with power and maintain coast. 4 valvers are very expensive bikes to own, caused by difficult maintain and more expensive spare parts. Example: to my ST4S original belts coast about 117€/pair from Ducati dealer here in Finland. To all Pasos they can be found from many car spare part stores to very low price. That is only one example. 4 valvers need 2X all valve adjusting pieces and they are NOT cheap, cause Dec dealer is only way to buy those parts.

Every modell is diffrent and its most important to know, WHATKIND bike needs :thumbup:

Depending on the seat that is on each bike, I measured my ST2 to be around 5 inches (13 cm) narrower than the Paso 750. :eek: I wasn't expecting that much of a difference. Some of the width is because of the way that the panels are flared on the Paso.
