Question about 750 rear shock
I am lucky enough to have bought a box fresh - unused rear shock (Marzocchi) for the 750 Paso. Just one question about adjustment. I know I can alter compression and rebound damping but the preload looks to be fixed. Can this be adjusted? I don't expect to have to do this but it is always nice to know.

I have Öhlins in my 750 Paso, but at least i can adjust spring preload in my 907IE Marzhocci, what is "later version", than 750 Paso & 906 Marzhocci. In my unit read "Duo Remoto" in that compression adjusting part. I know, 750 unit was different, than mine. Witch modell U have?

750 rear shock
I have got a Marzocchi duo-shock unit for my 906 but this needs rebuilding so I have aquired this shock from the 750 and will attempt to shoe-horn it into the 906. Can send you a picture but not until the weekend.

So, spring preload is adjustable ALSO in this unit, like in Öhlins and later Marzhocci "duo remoto" unit.

Somewhat different vector on the general topic of rear suspension and this thread, but I finally got around to replacing my leaky Marzocchi rear shock. I'd be grateful if anyone who undertook the adventure of rebuilding one would post pics and an article. None of the local shops would touch it. I contacted Ducati about it, and they referred me to a Marzocchi dealer out west, who ultimately said they couldn't do it and that I was on my own. I'll get around to it eventually, but no guarantee I'll find parts.
So I purchased a Works Performance replacement. Took me awhile to properly install it, but I did, and initial impressions are that it works quite a bit better than the stock unit. I'll provide a more detailed eval sometime mid-08, and try to include pictures and some words on how I did it. In the interim, anyone who's attempting this can pm me in the interim & I'll walk you through my procedure for installing it.

I take my "duo remoto" unit (later version from Marzhocci) from my 907IE to Öhinlins maintainer WITH original spare part kit(from Ducati dealer) and they opened unit without any problem and since it was good. Coast was about 60€ plus that repair kit. They asked surely, what shall be inside pressure, cause they didn know it. Öhlins have very good maintainers at least here in Finland...

Antti - Can you please provide me the part number for the Marzocchi kit you mentioned? It's a Ducati part number, that dealers should recognize? What pressure value did you use for your reservoir? I can work with a metric number such as kg/cm, although over here we're stuck in the stone age and still using psi mostly.

The 750 shock isn't the same of the 906/907 and Antti only told he overhauled his 907 shock.
No matter, a good engineer can overhaul quite all the shocks, even because the parts there are into that kit are really common: some gasket, a bearing and some little more...

I can confirm TOMORROW inside pressure and ordering number. I think, Frankie is in right way now, so thanks to Frankie already.
I think, that repairing kit is still available from Ducati dealers... That kit fits to "duo remoto" unit(!!!), but i cant be sure, if it fits also to older 750 & 906 "older version" of Marzhocchi
