Swingarm Brake Bracket Pin

Post by Desmo_Demon »

Anyone here have a picture and dimensions of the swingarm pin for the rear-brake, caliper bracket? On the parts list, it is #037740070. This is the pin that is bolted to the inside of the swingarm to prevent the caliper bracket from rotating. I picked up a used 907 swingarm needing some work and it is missing this piece. The pin is no longer available from Ducati, so I was wondering what it looks like and it's dimensions so I can make one. Thanks!

Also, anyone have the left swingarm end cap that the axle adjustment bolt goes through (part #37310041A)? This is still available, but at $35 plus shipping, it is more than I spent on the complete swingarm.

if it is the same as on a Monster swingarm, then it is the same as on an 888 also.

btw I would have all the parts you need but as a set and only shipment would cost more than what they ask for that part in US.

 Thanks, Gerhard! You must have really been bored.

Is that from a 907 swingarm or a Monster or 888?

I'll check on the same part for the Monster/888 and see if that is still available. If not, I'll take those dimensions to my machinist friend and have him make one for me. I know where a 907 rear brake caliper bracket is, but I don't want to pay the high price he is asking. I may make him a lower offer and see if he'll take it. I'm hoping to have a complete 907 swingarm assembly for a future 17" wheel swap (if necessary).

Thanks, again!

Thanks.....I've actually been watching that one for a couple of weeks. I'm tempted on emailing them and see if I can get it a bit cheaper than that........

I gave the measurements for the pin to my machinist buddy, and he thinks he can probably make me one for less than Ducati probably wanted for one......it doesn't hurt that I was picking up $200 worth of parts for my Harley when I was talking to him about the pin.

Exactly!!! Plus, I can even get him to make me aluminum castings if I need something. He cast these a few weeks ago...
