reproduction body panels in fiberglass or carbon fiber!

Post by nickapaso »

Has anybody ever bought reproduction body parts for their paso. I found this place that makes them at pretty reasonable prices and was curious as to whether anyone has bought any similar ones and was ahppy with the quality. I spoke to the man who makes them and he also says he can make them out of carbon fiber which would be cool. He said that it would cost five times the regular fiberglass price and ring in at about $4000. But he also sells just the scoops for the oil coolers. I am going to get the piece above the licence plate and the scoops for mine due to a limited budget. I just thought I'd share. Here is the link to his website though if anyone cares to check it out.

Seems you`ve been lucky. Lots of people complained that they had tried to contact air-tech but never received a reply. Further problem seems to be that the parts (sometimes) aren`t a perfect fit and that ie the mounting holes need to be modified.

I was told that they don't come with the mounting holes drilled and that they are considered in "rough" condition. Some trimmming and a trip to the body shop may be required. I have no FHE with these parts but this is what I was told when looking into getting some Airtech pieces.

Ebay is a better solution for bodywork.

Gowanlochs in Sydney, Australia used to have aftermarket unpainted fibreglass Paso body work. This was about 10+ years ago last I saw, but they may still be able to get them.
