91mm Pistons

Post by Mark »

Hey All,

Before I bite the bullet and splash out on the FBF782cc kit I noticed that Ca-Cycleworks offers 91mm pistons for the 750cc and 800cc engines:

On eBay I managed to purchase a set of 1998 750ss cylinders that could be bored out to 91mm and plated.

Apart from having to make small modifications to the case to accommodate the internal oil channels found in the later cylinders, does anybody have any concerns about 91mm pistons/800cc vs 90mm/782cc setups?

I would also lighten and balance the crank and use Carrillo rods. I may also send the heads to MBP.

Cheers,

Mark
