sprocket bearings

Post by sprintex »

Are there two bearings in the sprocket carrier? It looked like just one to me but the FAG says 2x.
Thanks

Thanks. Are they hard to get out? Not much of edge to hit with a drift.

OK I figured it out. Got home from work, I took a good look at the sprocket, take one big socket, one dead blow hammer, a couple of good whacks and the bearings are out. New ones are in the, freezer I'll put them in later.

: sprocket bearings# 6204-2rs1to small ID

Post by sprintex »

An update on the bearings. I bought the 6204-2RS1/C3 went to put them in and low and behold the ID is to small. Back to the bearing with the hold one in hand he gives me an NACHI 6005-2NSE which fit fine. So morale of story always bring your old bearings with you when you buy new ones.
Now to find out why the front end feels loose under braking, Jack up the front and there doesn't seem to be any play in the head bearings. I think the disc may be wrap need to check that neext

sorry for that, obviously one should not remove bearings from a spare part someone said came from a Paso and which indeed must have come from a 750S.
I removed the bearings from the original sprocket carrier today and they are SKF 6005-2RS1 / C3.
I`ll change the FAQ asap.
