Front indicator/mirror units for the Paso

Just received some new 2008 catalogues and a CD from FAR. The mirrors/indicators are still listed at 36euro each. FAR must think I'm a "business", this is the second year that they have sent this. The contact person is Valeria Boschieri or Laura Carpene of the export department; email export@far.it
They also confirm that FAR are the OEM for 18 different motorcycle manufacturers, including Ducati.

What a nice connection; if only it were true! Did visit Frasers when I lived in Sydney.

Unfortunately Australia/New Zealand are assumed to be close together, because we are neighbours, but are separated by a significant ocean or a 3 hour 747 flight; about the same as Moscow to London. Pretty close really.

Sometimes, it happened to me in USA that the people couldn't distinguish Italy from Spain, France, Greece or so...

No matter, I would profit by that equivocation .

I have been away from home working this week and will be next however I have received an email from the UK importer as follows


Steve, you emailed Far in Italy about mirrors for a Ducati Paso 907, as we supply some of their products to the UK market, they have forwarded your email to me to help you.



The 1689 left mirror and 1690 right mirror are listed at £28.80+vat each retail, as this is not an item we stock we would need to order them in, as a wholesaler we don’t supply the public, so you would need to confirm your order with a dealer and have them place this item on order with us, we deal with most shops in the UK, and a list of more active dealers is on our web site http://www.ve-uk.com



We are just placing a stock order with FAR so if you confirm your order for this as soon as you can we should be able to add it on, delivery from FAR is normally about 2 to 3 weeks.

I have had a chance to locate the nearest UK dealer regarding these mirror units and it just happens to be the place that I regularly take my motorcycle to be UK road tested (our M O T as it's known). Alan the owner is a very decent trader and if I get no joy going direct then I am sure that I can get this via his motorcycle shop ( which is just a 20 minute bike ride away).

I will also set up everything with him so that I can ship over enough units for anyone interested.
