thanks very much. Seems the inner tube is still fine and also protected by a canvas layer. As the oil pressure is not that high this should still have lastet for a while and some cracking shouldn`t be a concern.
I reckon that treating the hoses with a rubber care product at least once a year may prevent them from drying out.

A quick update:
Rode it precariously a couple of miles to the shop. After the weekend to cool it had a valve adjustment, carb balance, tested on the dyno to see if properly jetted, and yes...new timing belts. ;)

So the thing sounds and runs great but I can't ride it anywhere because of this freak'in no tires available nonsense. Started searching and ended up writing to every tire mfg. I could find. Of course I'll let anyone know if I find anything.

From what I have read on the forum is that there may be a brand that kinda works in front or one that sorta works on the back with an tube. What would be cool is if we had a periodic entry to the existing FAQ about what brand/model works, the size, and if any mods are needed.
I'm determined to find the right size :banghead:

Response from Metzler:

"Hi

Sorry to say as of about 2 years ago every major tire company stopped the production of these tires due to lack of demand. I would suggest you look at finding 17" wheels for the bike. Thanks for the e-mail.
