There is SAE and DIN horsepowers  U can measure it from rear wheel, when making dyno run... OR COUNT from that result, what shall be crankshaft/clutch power with some mathematics and its surely bigger, than from rear wheel...

I'm only getting 95 at the rear wheel on my modded Multi with the 1080 kit and 11.5:1 compression. That might be 105 at the crank.....

It does make 75Ft lbs at 4K RPM tho :-)

Jon, i get from my ST4S from REAR WHEEL:

111 Hp power at 8783 RPM Edit: (Counted just, that from crankshaft/clutch, from where Ducati power is currently measured 128-129 Hp)
100 Nm torque at 6824 PRM

I have FIM ECU, K&N and oval open Sil Moto titanium exhaust system (quite totally open with plenty of sound).... Engine timing have done and some new rocker arms put inside.. also new lighter springs to desmo system from 748R.... Now rocker arms should least longer, but have to use very good oils in such marvelous machine.... Shell Advance Ultra 4 fully synthetic 20W-50.

My friend have also Multistarada and it have very good torque, same as i have in my ST4S, but he cant get such power at all... that muti engine is very good one....

It needs better heads and larger valves but I'm happy with the way it runs now. The torque is really all you need on the street.

that's why I'm looking for a second set of ST2 heads to make a twin spark conversion including bigger inlet valves (45 mm?), which opens the possiblity to boost compression even further and reduce spark advance. Wednesday I'm going to visit the Professional Motor Sport event in Cologne -Germany. maybe I can find some titanium valves or exotic stuff like that.
I hope the winter is long, so I have time to work on this

I am very sorry, that i have to put You to "ground" now: Its NOT possible to make such bore for another spark plug to water cooleed ST2 or 907 heads because there are those water and oil lines. i wanted to do such about 5 years agao and that company, who make such mods here told to me after they saw my 907 heads, that sorry, not possible, cause there are those water lines.... So, IF You managed to do such mod, i am VERY COURIOUS about company name, what can make such....... Its easy job for 900cc AIR cooleed Supersport head and i have seen some such in my close Ducati friends bikes... They used Harley Davidson coils...

Let me know, if You managed to do such 2 spark plug conversion, please! :smoke:

Antti,
this becomes interesting.
I planned to do this by myself as I have the equipment like lathes, millingmachine, deviding head toolroomgrinders. Only aluminium welding I need help from friends. I didn't say it's easy, but I like the challenge to make something special. So therefore I need a set of "spare" ST2 heads. If I wreck them I still have two orginal ones. The belt wheels on a 1000 DS have two tooths more than the 900 and their derivates. I guess to make some more room for the second sparkplug, which has to be a 8 or 10 mm. one. This because the space is very limited for the new sparkplug tunnel. In the past years I converted several aircooled 900 engines into twinsparks. Problem with the kokusan and older magneti marelli is to set the advance right. Also oil lines can be delth with. I started driving Ducati in 1980 bevelheads suchs as '78 900SS and '82Mike Hailwood. The Hailwood I converted to plain bearing big end. To do this it is necessary to convert the by-pass oil system in to a mainstream filter system. Therefore you need a duct system between the pump, the galleys to the heads and crankshaft and the filter. the filter itself was a common spin-on one. Later I did this on 5 or 6 other bevelheads engines.
So as you see, NOT possible means a challenge to me.
The main problem is to find the time to do this.

what I have seen on his site he must can do it.
the collets he makes are good, this is what I want to use from him.
But I want to do the heads myself, and not spend loads of money which I don't have.

Hi Gert,

Alter spark advance! ah yes, well, I discusses last year my project with my duc dealer and he suggested me an other computer of a "98 900ss ie as these are easy to reprogram on fuel and spark advance. So Ibought this ECU and the wiring loom that goes with it.
today a second set of ST2 heads are offered to me and at the show Profesional Motorsports World I saw lot's of titanium and ALUMINIUM!!! valves. This company also produces pre machined liners of a special kind of aluminium which ables you to run with closer tolerances and due to the cooler running you can retard spark advante by 2.5 to 4 degrees which is quit a lot. this material is highly interesting for my 900ss project, which comes after the 907 update. After the 900ss comes the 888SP4. I rebuild a 888SP4 with a new engine for a friend of my and as a reward I got all the spares and knocked down SP3 racing engine. (129 HP at the rear wheel)
So, I have a lot of work to do. but I think it's not a mission impossible :truck:

Another possibility f tuning, ignition etc:

Bolt-on, full freedom to do all tuning etc yourself if you want!
