Dyno Chart on my 907
I had the Ducshop rebuild my motor this spring. Here is the dyno chart that they made. I thought it might contain some information someone could use.

Re: Dyno Chart on my 907
Interesting!
Any mods like mufflers-filter-chip?
Are these numbers what to expect of a standard 907?
What did it have, rolling out from factory?

The test made by the Italian magazine "Motociclismo" got 75,42 hp at 8500 RPM and 7,41 Kgm at 6750 RPM.Tamburinifan wrote:Are these numbers what to expect of a standard 907?

So, I'd say your mechanic worked well

Re: Dyno Chart on my 907
I have a modified chip in it that basically riches the mixture and the F1s slip-ons. I got the chip mapping from someone in the UK. I had a friend put an emission sensor probe in the exhaust pipe and the computer showed the bike was running lean at all throttle positions. This was probably because I just adjusted the TPS and balanced the throttle bodies. So I needed to remap the chip or go back and try to re-adjust everything. Anyway, Ducshop "dialed in" everything after the rebuild.
Remember, the dyno chart shows horse power and torque at the rear wheel, whereas most publications and specs. are reported at the engine output shaft. The rear wheel numbers would always be less than the shaft reported numbers. I think some places have a formula to convert from one to the other based on their expertise and experience.
The bike is much smoother and pulls stronger from a stand still. Also I have noticed that it is a little harder for the starter to turn the motor over when cranking it.

chassis dynos are rare and well beyond the reach of your average bike mag. so most figures you read are conversions and optimistic at best

Re: Dyno Chart on my 907
a chassis dyno is a set of rollers used to measure power output at the wheels against a known resistance. It is the most common and available form of dyno. It is also the cheapest at around 40k us. I misspoke earlier, too much wine...........I meant to say an engine dyno is beyond the scope of your average motor mag.
a chassis dyno calculates power an engine dyno can measure it directly usually in watts and then converted to the unit of choice
