1988 Paso with Marzocchi Rear Shock
1988 Paso with Marzocchi Rear Shock
I have a leaky Marzocchi rear shock on my 1988 Paso. I have it apart to rebuild and it has a weird seal in it. I can't find a replacement and search the net with no luck. What are my options. thanks

I am pretty sure if you do a search on this site you should find a couple threads naming manufacturers stateside that do full rebuilds I can't see from your profile where in the world you are located, there are also a few threads that I believe offer a breakdown of the parts and their numbers and tools used etc.

Re: 1988 Paso with Marzocchi Rear Shock
Where are you?
I have a rebuild kit from Marzocchi that I bought from another forum member for my 907, but I will not be using it. Also, I don't know if the 750 and 907 use the same shock (but I'm sure someone here knows). Here's what it looks like:

Anyway, I have $55 USD invested in the kit if anybody can use it at that price, plus shipping from US zipcode 02474 (Boston). Also, GMD recommended replacing rather than rebuilding my stock shock, so if anybody wants my old shock plus the kit, you can have it all for $55 plus shipping. As y'all may recall, the battery (thanks to previous owner) had breathed death upon the bottom of the shock, eating away the knob on the bottom and notching the spring. Could be that someone could use it for parts or rebuild it, but I went for a new Penske. If no one on paso.org can use it, next stop, eBay!

Its big PITTY, that guys DONT put LOCATION(!!!) to they details, that its easy to think about shipping of parts !!!!! I have talked this some time ago here in this site...
Is it some shame to write location ???? For me, NO!!!!! Anyway i have also such spare part kit here in EU (Finland) and its for sale for about same price.
Btw, i am still searching used Marzhocci Duo Remoto 38 unit from 91* 907IE, from where i can get that whole lower part adjusting knob system to my unit. 750 Paso and 906 early units were different, than in 907..... Maybe later 906 had same, as in 907?

That Marzocchi overhauling kit shares the same number both for the 906 and the 907.
I also have such kit.
Ciao

Overhaul kit is same, but "look of schock" is totally diffrent. I mean that.persempre907 wrote:That Marzocchi overhauling kit shares the same number both for the 906 and the 907.

Antti,
I have a shock from a late(6/89) 906 sold as a 90. I will look into the details for you today to see if it suits your needs.
