some of the new models of Ducati have 300 mm rotors
M620 has.
Lots of old FZR's being parted out. I have them on my Sport for the past 5 years now.
A Sport w 16" wheels?

Think my 300´s work fine w EBC HH pads.

I converted my bike to 17" wheels.
I downloaded the brake adapters from Baukes page and it ends up that they work for the 280mm stock rotor and wheels, or if you turn it upside down, it fits the 300 mm rotors on a 17" wheel. I couldn't find a file for making a brake adapter for the M1R fork with 320mm rotors. I've been happy with the set up. Works great. I too use the EBC HH pads.

ducinthebay, if you have the original M1R forks in your Sport the file meanwhile can be found in the downloads

Code: Select all

brake adapters for 300/320mm discs on Marzocchi M1R fork (calipers with 40mm mounting hole distance)
http://www.box.net/shared/gj6cbxn48w
The adapter doesn`t fit on the 907ies M1R

you don't need to buy a Brembo, because there a lot of good after market suppliers as PVM, Spiegler and Magura.
go through the Ebay files and you find lots of them. including Brembo. from the quality point of view are machined ones from billet the best. important is to look for the right size of thread for connecting the brake line. this is often M10 x 1 and on a lot of japanese bikes M1 x 1.25.

Hi T..fan,
I saw my mistake immediatly after posting. no relation to the lead. :?
but also for discs there some possibilities. the casted ones are mainly made from casted grey iron GG25. So, you can take a few old big ones from Mercedes or BMW away from the scrapyard and machine them in the shape you like. It ain't getting cheaper.
