Anyone have a bad EFI box they don't need?

Post by samandkimberly »

I'm thinking real hard about trying out an alternative EFI system but if I do, I want to be able to swap the stocker back in quickly if I screw up. Does anyone have a bad EFI box they'd sell cheap, or maybe donate? In return I'll promise to post my adventure here... Obviously, I'm only interested in the enclosure and plug.

I'm on the fence between Megasquirt and MyECU.

Also P7 was and is still very good quality ECU, as it was designed for 851/888 Superbike series bikes...

There's nothing at all wrong with the box I have now; it has a euro chip and works well. But I like the idea of having a closed loop system in general, and it's an interesting project. I'm in no rush though; I'll keep my eyes open for a bad stock box and start when I find one.

There are some Fiat, Lancia, Ford Cosworth etc fr early 90`s that had P8
which box is the same as P7, I have a FC P8 box on mine, bought cheap.

Several Guzzi`s are runnin MyECU w closed loop & good results.
