I'm starting a 907 register and need details of your bike(s)
In order to keep track of where surviving 907's are, I'm starting a 907 register which I will publish online and keep up-to-date as 'new' bikes turn up. If you'd like your bike to be included, can you please PM me the following:
VIN:
Engine Number:
Location (Region/State, Country):
Colour:
Condition (Concours/Good/Roadworthy/Off-road/dismantled):
Modifications:
Other comments:
Email address of owner (will not be published):
Just copy/paste the above into a PM and send to me if you want to be on the list!
Mods - can we make this a sticky?

Re: I'm starting a 907 register and need details of your bike(s)
Hi there injected I thought of a similiar idea last year following a look at the Quaser site http://www.quasarworld.com/quasars/index.htm
which has a similiar theme, I then considered the security issues involved with personal setails on site especially if some poor soul sees there bike on ebay or craiglist either cloned or re- registered having been nicked as there are a lot more 907's about still, there is also the world wide coverage, then also how people might react and eventually came up with this
http://forums.ducatipaso.org/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=2685.
Good Luck though will be interesting to see if it takes off.
The Quasar site dose look smart though.

Yes, you never know how paranoid people might be. There will be no personal details or registration plate details asked for or posted anywhere, and frame and engine numbers are visible on any bike you see parked and I don't see motorbike identity theft happening as a result of people scribbling down VIN's.
The idea is very common in the car world, and as far as I know has no side-effects. Here is the one for Triumph GT6's which I have used before http://www.teglerizer.com/cgi-bin/gt6db ... ?serialno=. I also contributed to the MHR register when I had one of those. Again, no issues.
Our Bentley has all of its details (eng number, chassis number, reg number) published in a reference book, along with every one of its sister cars. No nasty side effects, and no offense but if there was skullduggerry to be done then I think people would start there than at the Paso end of the spectrum, don't you? In this 907 exercise, no registration details are sought.
Like you say, let's see who comes forward. I hope paranoia doesn't stop what could be an interesting and useful exercise.
Why don't you start the ball rolling in confidence with a PM?

From my pointofview, this would be interesting. I think it might could get a better reception if it were an "official" feature of this forum and maybe if people could enter, modify, or delete their entries and thusly control the info on their machines. Just my two cents worth. I could be wrong, as usual.
Anyway, I looked up the VIN of the 907 that I bought new in '92 and traded away in '95 (for a Triumph Daytona 1200), it was ... 1353. Does anybody out there know the whereabouts of that 907? Just curious ...

It seems to me a great venture.
This is the best place to do such thing.
As soon as I have the data of my bikes, I'll post them.
Unfortunately, my beloved bikes are very far from me
.
Ciao

Yes, but when - as today - I see there are very many bikers riding its bikes, any poetry doesn't work.ducapaso wrote: "So close.

Re: I'm starting a 907 register and need details of your bike(s)
No, not yet due to the underwhelming response from owners worried about providing data on themselves and their bikes
. Once I have critical mass (say 20 bikes?) I'll put it online.
