electrical issue, please help?

Post by pasophist »

Hi folks:

My 907ie had no front turn signals because the previous owner didnt have them plugged in!

When I did plug them in, the left side worked fine- normal speed, but the right side blinks super-fast (front and rear).

One side normal speed, one side double fast. All the bulbs work.

Any ideas?

Thanks lots.

Check the bulb wattages in the fast side. If not, it'll likely be the flasher unit.

If that fixes it, please see this thread! http://forums.ducatipaso.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3257

My guess is bad ground/earth on the fast one.

I switched the bulbs in the rear and the fast/slow swapped sides. So its the bulb. The rear bulbs are different. Does anyone know what bulb is supposed to be in there?

Thanks

Just like Nicola say, 21W, but IF U change to halogen, or LED blinkers, then You have to change blinker relay also to "clever one", like Kellerman unit, or put resistor to series with bulbs. I just put another pairs of rear blinkers to my ST2 and only way to solve too fast blinking was to buy Kellerman unit! :smoke:

i just put LED blinkers on my 750 sport- but only the front - rears are still bulbs. I didn't have any trouble with fast blinking, but one small issue is the LED lights really need a full 12v or they wont turn on - with old ducati wiring the LED blinkers don't work at all with the bike off, hardly show at idle - but are bright and clear at 2000 rpm.

i was thinking of doing the rears to LED as well, but at stops im afraid they would hardly show--
