Choke issues

My battery died, and I didn't realize it at first... so I thought maybe something was wrong with the choke. Therefore I played with it to try and start the bike. Now I charged it back up, and am having problems starting the bike up. If I give it a little throttle, it starts... but I need to keep giving it gas, or it will die. I actually got it to the point where it would idle on its own, but barely. I looked at the choke, and it is all the way out, but it seems lie me pulling the line even a little bit kills it. I think that maybe the choke is not at 100% released (even though the choke lever is all the way out).

Any advice would be appreciated.

spark plug are surely dirty. If you let the engine run at idle for a while, they might clean up theirselves.
I happen to have such problem in winter time, after a long period of standing.

Thanks, I'll try to clean them out tonight or over the long weekend. Was looking to ride over the weekend, but might have to postpone

i had similar issues and it does screw your plugs-- but if it starts, you can just ride it. at first it will have some issues-- miss and hesitate-- but the more you ride the plugs will clean up and the gunk will get blown out and it will return to normal. mine did at least. i had to go about 70mph and keep the rpms up but after that just fine.

also (i dont have a paso, but a sport) i had an issue with the 1 to 2 splitter to the choke, one cable had caught itself outside its enclosure and was staying "on" - in the sport the cable goes right over the battery and you have to push them out of place to remove it, so if you changed your battery recently make sure that the cables are all running correctly - not stretched or missing their groove.
